Eli and his friendly hardworking team- Yacov, Miguel, and Ricardo masterfully renovated two bathrooms in our 115 year old house- on time (4 weeks) and on budget. We still can't believe how beautiful they are! And have no doubt that the quality of work done will last for years. Eli was a pleasure to work with, creative resourceful, proud, a true professional. He is a perfectionist and has a great sense of design, and is not happy until everything is perfect and exactly the way you want it Hard to believe everything you read- but we cannot say one negative thing about our experience with EMB.

Eli and his team are true professionals. I am still in awe of my new kitchen and how much it improves the apartment and my quality of life. It is even better than I imagined it would be. Shai, his stellar designer came first and took his time looking around the kitchen, measuring, and learning about what I wanted. He then made 3 dimensional models, which went through several changes and he came by my apartment to discuss in person each time. He has a great understanding of what makes a kitchen functional and had many useful suggestions. The cabinets, appliances and fixtures we selected together are beautiful. Once the design was finalized, Eli and his team of many years completed the demolition in just a few hours. They were always careful to protect my floors and walls. They worked steadily and efficiently to make a kitchen that perfectly fit the design. When there were slow downs because of issues with my management company, Eli handled them kindly and professionally and stayed in touch, so that work could resume as soon as possible. Every final detail was taken into account; for example, all cabinet doors align and move perfectly, the tiles are perfectly aligned, the shelves were stained to match my cabinets. The overall effect is stunning.

The whole renovation process went great from beginning to end - I could not recommend them more. All of their work was top notch and fabulous. They built me my dream apartment and I hope one day soon that they can build me my dream home.

Great. These guys were on time every time. They asked the right questions and gave great advice. My bathroom is now 4 inches wider because of the fabulous advice I received (this is huge in New York City). They worked with me and were wiling to go with some of my eccentricities in spite of this costing them in man hours. No surprises on price, I was informed at each step of the way where things stood and EMB always made sure my premises were left in livable condition at the end of each day. They were also very careful not to track in the building and were very conscientious about leaving areas clean and orderly. Great experience - I would highly recommend

Eli and his crew were wonderful - which is not something I've ever been able to say about a contractor until now. EMB came to look at my bathroom and provide an estimate on a Thursday and had it completely finished that Monday. Eli took care of everything from beginning to end -- he purchased the new items at IKEA and delivered them, and provided an accurate estimate as to what needed to be done, including some changes to the drain pipe in order to allow space for the new, wall-mounted vanity and sink. His crew did a fantastic job and was communicative throughout the project. Even when there was a small stumbling block (the new faucet didn't fit in between two protrusions, they consulted me on how to move forward and handled it immediately and smoothly. They were in communication with Eli constantly, who even went out and purchased new tiles for the bathroom so that they could complete everything the same day. My bathroom turned out beautifully and I couldn't be happier. I would absolutely hire EMB again and have already recommended him to friends.

I was very pleased with EMB Home Improvement. I felt very comfortable from the very beginning. Eli took the time to thoroughly go over the details of what was involved in remodeling my kitchen. He was very patient and willing to answer any questions that I had. Eli and his team of workers took pride in their work and aimed to please. The job started on schedule and was finished on schedule which was important to me. The skills, talents and abilities of the workers are on point and professional. I was happy with the end results of my kitchen remodel. I would definitely use EMB again.

Excellent! This is my first home and my first renovation experience so I didn't know much about the renovation process and where to start. Eli and his team held my hand during the entire process. They were honest and guided me with cosmetic and structural decision making. Eli went out of his way to drive me to lowes and home depot, not once but twice! He helped me pick out things that I would have had no idea about other wise. The team was neat and finished as promised in two weeks. (And they actually started a week ahead of the expected start date) My new bathroom and kitchen look like they came from a totally different apartment and took a jump from 1960 to 2016. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Eli is very fairly priced, puts his heart into his projects, and pays attention to detail. He turned the glued on panels under the kitchen sink into a storage space for my sponges. He literally thought of everything and wanted my new home to look its best. Shout out to Cruz, Moses, and Miguel for doing such a great job and dealing with me and my mom. I would absolutely hire this team again...and I am. Next project: building the frame and brick placement around my electric fireplace! Thank you EMB for making my apartment into my home!

House 1 - Living room brick wall was exposed – and we discovered a cutout for a fireplace (no ventilation) (have put an African mask there) House 2 – View into livingroom from hallway that leads towards kitchen and livingroom House 3 / 4 – Had wall between livingroom and kitchen removed and placed an island there House 5 – Gutted kitchen - totally new kitchen (view from livingroom) – had lights put on top and under cabinets House 6 - Open space concept – those doors across from living room is new laundry room and had electrical box brought up from basement House 7 – New washer/dryer room House 8 / 10 – had bathroom totally gutted – no tub – now just a shower with a seat (and heating system) House 9 – Had a closet built in my daughters room – wall to wall and floor to ceiling House 11 – Had HVAC system put throughout entire top floor

Mr. Benjamin came to provide an estimate. He honestly said he could not provide all the services I needed within my budget. However, I requested a proposal anyway, partially because I needed it for my insurance company to recover money to be used for the renovation. Mr. Benjamin told me I would have to pay him for the proposal. No other contractor has asked me to pay for their estimate. I can't use EMB because I don't know how much he would charge. Though he said he was over my budget, I don't know how much over my budget. Maybe I would have used him if it was not significantly higher. than my budget.

Eli and his team are solid. Eli was personally involved at every stage. He doesn't nickel and dime you. In fact he drove me to Home Depot for buying something I needed and fixed an electric issue without charge. He is enthusiastic and personable which makes for positive interactions. He is also prompt in replying to text messages which moves things quickly.

My family has worked with EMB numerous times before so EMB was the only company I would call to do this job. This job was not just a simple bathroom or kitchen. I own a 4 floor house and wanted to redo 3 of the floors. Eli quoted me a price which was very reasonable and said he would get it done in 3 months. The job started September 1st, 2014 and finished the second week in December 2014 only because I added an extra bathroom in. Eli, the owner of EMB, is very professional, knows what he's doing, he was willing to go to stores with me if I needed help picking out materials, and he acted as GM over the job. He found me all of the other contractors (plumbing, electrical, and AC) and they all quoted me great prices because of their relationship with EMB. His workers are great; they are clean, nice, professional, and agreed to work on Saturdays because I wanted this done quickly. There haven't been any problems since completion but if there had been, I know Eli would have come immediately to fix anything. I would recommend and have recommended EMB to family and friends (their remodels came out great!). There are a lot of terrible contractors out there that are just looking to rip you off but EMB is not one of them. Eli and his workers take pride in their work which is something you don't see that often anymore.

I e-mailed him a few times with no response, it turned out he went on vacation, but in all fairness he did reply to one of my e-mails while on vacation. I was frankly surprised that EMB would not pay for the windows they recommended and ordered and just include it to my total invoice, since they called the Windows Retailer and ordered the windows, but Eli insisted that I pay the Windows Retailer directly for the windows he ordered. He requested I contact him when the windows came in at the Windows Retailer and he would set up an appointment to install them. I contacted Eli as soon as the the Windows Retailer called me that the windows were in their store. He was suppose to pick them up and bring them to me on the day of the installation, We set up an installation date, but I had to reschedule it to the following week because of a personal problem I had. When I asked Eli if he could pick up the windows and store them for me for a few days until the installation day, he told me he doesn't store windows and that he would have to drop them off at my house prior to installation. I was willing to pay him extra money to hold the windows a few days for me, but he refused. I couldn't leave the windows outside in my backyard because of heavy rains and I tried a number of times to convince him to hold the windows for me for a few days until the install date, he flatly refused. At this time out of sheer frustration at him for repeatedly refusing to hold the 4 windows until the installation day I told him to cancel the Installation and that I would have someone else install them. Since I paid the Windows Retailer directly for the windows, I asked him if I owed him any money for his services, he said no and we terminated our relationship. When Eli was in my house he told me about all the "big" jobs he does (60K, 100K etc) and I got the impression that my job of 4 windows was just filler work for him. It turns out I believe I was correct. I think he does good work for Large Jobs, but I would Not Recommend him for Small Jobs of any kind.

Eli immediately responded to my inquiry. He is very prompt and extremely professional. We found he is very detail oriented and listens to the needs of his customers. He was excellent in setting realistic expectations on the scope of work, time and costs involved. He was very easy to work with and flexible. He offered ideas and solutions that were most welcomed. From end-to-end he and his team did a wonderful job. EMB offers great quality and good craftsmanship. The team were very respectful and great to work with. With EMB on the job, the project altogether was completed on time schedule we agreed to and on point with the budget. We will absolutely work with him again any opportunity we can. We have recommended many neighbors, colleague and friends to work with Eli and EMB Home Improvements. Two people have already worked with him and were extremely thrilled with Eli and his EMB Home Improvements.

EMB just renovated our small kitchen and did a remarkable job. Sticklers for detail. Tackled new floor cabinets, electrical work, wallpapering, plumbing and painting. With a fine eye for total effect of a 1920’s look. Price was reasonable, and they got us good prices for our cabinets and granite counter top from local vendors. Eli, the driving force of EMB is extremely capable and pleasant. His workers are talented and polite. They work as a team always knowing where machinery and tools are. They know exactly what to do next wasting no time or motion.

We got a number of quotes from different contractors prior to embarking on a kitchen and bathroom reno. At the time Eli wasn't available until October so we went with someone else. This guy turned out to be a nightmare - didn't put proper paper down to protect floors, failed to meet every deadline, didn't appear to understand some technical matters, shoddy workmanship. So, we ended up firing him and then had a very short time period to get the work finished. We called Eli in desperation and he managed to find time to do the job. Him and his crew were excellent. The best contractor I've worked with on our renovation. Everything happened on time, he was great at ensuring we got the stuff we wanted installed and had practical suggestions for alternatives when this wasn't possible. His communication was great as was that of others guys doing most of the work. The bathroom and kitchen look great, everything works as it should and the whole process was stress free. Would recommend Eli to anybody looking for a great general contractor.

I needed to renovate a full bathroom and expand an existing closet to fit a washer/dryer unit. Eli responded to my inquiry immediately and came to my apartment within 2-3 days for an appraisal. He fit me into his schedule and completed the work in one week!! His crew showed up every morning and left the apartment before we returned home from work. They would clean up everyday and leave their tools in a neat pile before leaving the job. Eli made some good suggestions for some of the finishing in the bathroom that made a big difference visually. I was concerned about expanding the closet and did not want it to look awkward, when it was finished it looked as though it was originally designed this way. Eli's work is excellent and he has a good eye. I can not believe how fast the work was finished. It was a pleasure to deal with Eli.

After years of hearing contractor horror stories and living with two bathrooms that went from an embarrassment to structurally unsound, we bit the bullet and started "interviewing" contractors. We didn't expect to find skill, professionalism, price and personality all in one person, but... Eli was a gem, a hands-on contractor who surpassed our expectations. He walked us through the process giving us design options, accompanying us to purchase materials, making changes as requested while work was in progress and even coming back a week later to make a shower adjustment. He even rearranged his schedule to work on our additional odds and ends that would have been much more costly if addressed in the future. The workers were reliable, skilled, respectful and as unobtrusive as possible. They not only cleaned up each day but reinstalled the tennant's toilet each evening during the project. We were so satisfied working with Eli and with the final results of two totally new and beautiful bathrooms, that we've scheduled for him to return and begin our kitchen renovation next.

The bathroom floor in our tenant's apartment was sagging, leading us to believe that a water leak (likely due to improper sealing around the bathtub) had rotted some of the sub-floor underneath the tiles. It presented a dangerous situation, and we wanted to deal with it properly. We called a few contractors to get estimates. Some said the job would be too small and refused to come out, others made appointments to come but never showed up. Eli showed up on time, with a smile on his face. He assessed the situation and gave us a cost range for the project, depending on how bad the sub-floor turned out to be. He also gave us advice on what types of tiles to buy, regardless of whether or not we ended up booking him. The estimate seemed extremely reasonable, and Eli seemed very professional and personable. We booked him. He seemed very organized in terms of scheduling, and reconfirmed the appointment the weekend before he was due to perform the service. Because this bathroom was in a tenant's apartment, I was a little worried about displacing her for too long. Eli had said that the job would take about two days -- which means that she would not be able to use her bathroom one night. Luckily, she was a good sport about it, but I was concerned that, if the sub-floor was in worse shape than we'd anticipated, the job might take longer, and we'd have to find our tenant another place to stay for a few days. Luckily, it never came to that. Eli showed up a few minutes early, with two workers. They worked really fast. They rebuilt part of the sub-floor, pointing out to us what was done wrong the first time, and re-tiled the bathroom in about six hours. Then Eli came back the next day for about an hour or two to reconnect the tub, sink, and toilet and seal around them. He also cleaned up afterward. As for the end result: It looks amazing! I was really impressed with what a great job they did. This bathroom floor looks so much better than even our own, owner-occupied apartment. The floor feels stable, the tiling looks amazing, the sealing looks so clean. Really, really impressed. The cost ended up being toward the high end of the initial estimate range, but not at the very top. Working with Eli was a great experience from start to finish. We would definitely use him again.

Eli is an excellent tradesman and dedicated to his craft. he and his workers are neat, efficient, prompt, honest and trustworthy. I went to work and left them in my apartment. Eli stays within budget.

PHENOMENAL! AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! These were the responses received when people viewed the finished product! Originally hired EMB / Eli to redo the kitchen, very happy with the result so decided to expand the project by re-painting the living room/bedrooms plus replace/install base and crown molding. Eli is so dedicated to quality workmanship, I could have never made such excellent choices without his help and expertise. I highly recommend EMB / Eli for any type of construction or renovation. Tip - Please do your research on picking a floor suitable for a kitchen, I chosen from a few samples that Eli picked and 6M later - the floor installed are all scratched up.

Eli worked with us from the early stages of planning through the contract phase. We're looking forward to the remodel of our kitchen and bathrooms shortly. We are scheduled to do work with EMB Home Improvements in early January 2013.

My experience with them was excellent. It was superb. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. The price was very fair. It cost me $48000 to redo the kitchens and bathrooms including all the appliances I put in and everything. Their punctuality was superb. I have had people come in to see their work. I don’t open my home to everyone but I let them use my home as a model. I would rate them highly and would absolutely use them again in the future if necessary.
