ELLEN HONIGSTOCK ARCHITECT

We were extremely dissatisfied with Ellen Honigstock. Her design ideas were woefully inadequate and unhelpful. Ellen Honigstock was consistently unprepared for our meetings, devoted inadequate attention to our project, failed to keep track of details, fell several months behind schedule (in just the design phase), relied on inexperienced staff, whom she failed to adequately oversee. Ellen Honigstock was very difficult and unpleasant to work with: she was unprofessional and belligerent working with our building, our neighbors and us. The service was so inadequate, we fired Ellen Honigstock and paid a replacement professional to redo the unsatisfactory work we paid her to perform. (After we terminated the relationship, we then had to fiercely fight with her and her lawyer to get our plans (which she refused to provide us), although we had already paid her 100% on all her project invoices, including overpayment for some phases of work that were billed at 100% but not yet completed.)
