DITTA MALITO CONSTRUCTION

I called and scheduled an appointment.  They were a no call / no show.

Everything was great in the beginning. When issues came up that required extra work that was not foreseen before, Franco was reasonable and didn't overcharge like some other contracts sometimes do.

The problems began when there were some issues that needed to be addressed after the fact. Franco thinks that he can do no wrong. So, when granite capping stones kept on separating from the top of brick railing, it was everyone else's fault but his own - apparently the people who I had to call to reinstall the awning, because Franco didn't have the right tools to do it,  shouldn't have drilled through the stone. Who knew it was just a pretty thing to look at and not to actually be used as intended - to support an awning. Also, the brand new driveway concrete developed a big crack less than 6 months later. At this point I am almost afraid to insist that he fix it - because when I mentioned it he found a gazillion excuses for why it is OK, from ground settling to exceptional bad weather this past winter.

When he did attempt to fix the porch, he did it in an unprofessional way that made it look really bad and not like a brand new porch is supposed to look.

Just to reiterate - it is not these problems themselves that I have an issue with; I know any construction project of this magnitude will have some things that will need to be addressed, touched-up,  or repaired afterwards; Franco's attitude towards these issues, and his unwillingness to even entertain the idea that may be, just may be, some of this could be his fault, is the real issue here.
