The carpet looked just as dirty when they left. They said it would dry lighter, but it didn't. I've been trying to reach the owner, Vincent Gangi, for days, and left an email on his website, which was not returned either. Called again and a very competent operator bit him on the phone. He didn't address why he didn't call, didnt seem to care that I wasn't satisfied...just said he'd send someone to and quot;touch it upand quot;. I'd just burned my bridge with Stanley Steemer after being completely blown off for my scheduled appointment two days ago. I was actually a little worried because I had to get a carpet cleaned before new tenants moved in, and the only carpet cleaner I'd ever used in Park Slope was Stanley Steemer. I Googled around the next day and noticed Chem Dry - which advertised a "green" method of cleaning. Sounded great, and I could make an appointment online, but there was one problem: there were no appointments open this week. I called the number at 6pm and left a message. Vincent called me back immediately and squeezed me in the very next day. I asked if he wouldn't mind calling me when the guys were on their way so I could run over from work. Sure enough, Vincent gave me a call exactly one hour before two very sweet guys showed up at the door. The went right to work, and actually explained what they were doing, not in a sales-pitchy way, more in a way that made it seem like they actually had an interest in their jobs. They gave me a couple of hints and tips along the way, and were really as nice as could be. At the end of the day, Vincent called and left me a message to see if I was happy and satisfied with the work. I haven't called him back yet, but the answer is "yes". I did notice that the citrus-y smell of the "green" cleaner was a little over-powering. Enough to make me open the front door to get some fresh air circulating. Also, the price was higher than Stanley Steemer was in the past. That said, however, my carpet is clean and I don't mind paying a little bit more for courteous and professional service. It was truly money well-spent: my entire experience with this Chem Dry company (I think they cover Staten Island and Brooklyn) was positive.

They were great! They came in when they said they were going to and the carpets were cleaned like they said they would be. They didn't change the prices on us at all. The carpet also dried in the amount of time they said they would. Their prices are fair.

I CALLED THEM AFTER FINDING THEIR NUMBER IN THE YELLOW PAGES. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT AND I SCHEDULED A CLEANING FOR THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY. THEIR TECHNICIAN ARRIVED ON TIME AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE PERFORMED A DEEP CLEANING AND STAIN REMOVAL SERVICE FOR MY MATTRESS. HE KEPT ME INFORMED OF WHAT HE WAS DOING THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS, AND HE WORKED PRETTY FAST. AFTER ABOUT 40 MINS, HE REMOVED THE STAIN AND HAD MY MATTRESS LOOKING BRAND-NEW. THE PRICE WAS FAIR AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN.

THIS COMPANY DOES A GOOD JOB. THEY MADE MY CARPETS LOOK AND SMELL VERY GOOD. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. THEY MOVED ALL THE FURNITURE AND PUT IT BACK. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES.
