Brooklyn Music Foundry

We have had our son who is now 9 years old taking guitar lessons from Brooklyn Music Foundry since September of 2011. Lessons have been weekly unless there is a holiday and cost $20/lesson in this area (Mount Horeb, Wisconsin)
This has been a great experience for us. We have found the instructor to be a wonderful teacher! Lots of patience and great at making the lessons fun. The instructor has great knowledge of music theory and my son has been learning music theory since almost the beginning of his lessons. This has given him a great music base to move forward with his music knowledge and can be applied not only to guitar but piano as well.
We have been very happy with Brooklyn Music Foundry and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to take guitar lessons.

I had been taking guitar lessons from my instructor for a couple years and had started writing music from the get-go. He was a huge advocate of my music and encouraged me to record some of my songs. I had decided that was something I was interested in, so I had asked him if he would help produce my album. I am so grateful that he did. Not only did he guide me through my first studio experience, he offered sound advice and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. He connected me with other musicians and gave them clear musical direction in order for their parts to fit perfectly within my EP. If I had an opinion about what I liked, or how something sounded, it didn't fall on deaf ears. My opinions mattered, whether it was when we were editing or getting my final tracks mastered. It went very well. I had never played an instrument, but my instructor was able to help me understand how to play songs using chord progression and rhythm. I was quickly learning the notes to play in each key. It didn't take long before I was coming to class prepared with a song I'd written, and with the suggestions offered in class, I was soon rhythmically playing music. After some time, we'd jam, which tended to progress me into a better understanding of not only knowing which keys to play, but being able to 'hear' how to play. I found myself looking forward to classes in order to continue practicing each week.
