I don't know how these guys get such rave reviews. I spent almost 10K for a boiler that sounds like a coffee grinder running throughout the house and a sloppily radiator installed radiator. They addressed the radiator installation but want to charge me $450 to fix the pump on brand new boiler and I have no faith that they will do it right.

Perfectly. Their systems (heat, hot water and air conditioning) have been great over the past two years. today there was no heat. I called them at 7:30 and they were there by 8:45. They quickly diagnosed that there was a blockage in my chimney, cleaned it out and started the system. Back up and running. This company is super responsive and respectful and fair -- you will be so happy to hire them -- and relieved to have support when needed.

Any of my friends and family know that I am huge on reviews, this was no different - Big Apple Installations reputation is phenomenal, as soon as I called their main number I got to speak to Nick, who is the owner, no run-around, no BS, straight-up answers to every single question from the actual process, to equipment to DOB approval. He has kept his word thought the whole process and I am happy to recommend his and his team's services to anyone looking for Licensed Master Plumber. Big Apple company is very reliable and they did an amazing job. I had an initial free estimate/assessment to my heat which wasn’t working properly and the wiring was a mess in addition the 2nd floor could get heat. They gave me two choices to pick, either new wiring or replace the entire boiler. Harry was very honest and knowledgeable. so he made me feel comfortable and secure. Then I decided to hire them and the day of the job they came on time and installed and wire my new boiler. Harry explained to me in detail how my new boiler was going to work and all the new wiring was properly installed. When they finish the job they leave everything is clean. I am so happy with the results and I had no problems at all anymore. I will hire them again for sure.

In my opinion, plumbers are the new superheroes. BIG APPLE, the new Justice League. The plumbers/electricians Harry, Anthony and Hugh proved themselves to possess superpowers beyond that of mere mortal technicians. Responsive, talented, efficient, hardworking and knowledgable beyond, this team lead by Nick and Jessica exceeded expectations on every level. Their courtesy and professionalism turned what is the quintessential homeowner nightmare (boiler & heater failure in winter), into a pain-free and quite positive experience. From initial site visit/estimate through city inspection and rebate filing, they had our (mine and my 94-year-old dad's) backs. Bravo, BIG APPLE! And Thank You Again. I cannot recommend you guys highly enough.

I am beyond satisfied by the work done by Big Apple. The men working in my house were always professional, the work was done quickly, efficiently, and CORRECTLY. Nick and his team made it as painless as possible.

I called on Monday and spoke to Jessica, who was very helpful. She took my description of the problem and said she would call me back in a few minutes, which she did. She gave me an estimate for the repairs and said someone could be here the next morning around 9AM. The plumber showed up on time and went to work. All the pipes were replaced without any problems. The work was completed on time and the price was as stated in the estimate. I am very happy with the results and I cannot imagine how this process could be possibly be improved. I called, I was told what it would cost to fix the problem and when it could happen, the work was then done when they said it would be for the cost they provided in the estimate. I mean this is the definition of perfect.

I purchased a Co-op apartment that had been nicely renovated but had some significant bathroom plumbing problems. The previous owner had installed plumbing underneath the sink that was of cheap quality and did not have the usual S-curve shape (known as a 'P-trap'). This was causing horrible clogging. Also, the sink faucet had extremely low pressure (likely also due to cheap faucet pipes). Nick and his associate cleaned out the drain and installed new pipes under the bathroom sink that were much better in quality and were P-trap compliant. They also installed a new bathroom sink faucet and pipes. They initially recommended a standard Delta one-hole faucet (a well-regarded brand), but I instead asked for a hard-to-find touch-activated Delta faucet as an upgrade. They ordered the faucet and installed it with no problems. My bathroom sink is now clog-free, with excellent water pressure and a high-quality touch faucet that's cool to operate! Nick and his team were friendly and professional, maintained good communication throughout the process, were efficient and timely, and were patient in dealing with some bureaucratic silliness from my Co-op's management company. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know in need of any plumbing assistance.

They were able to come out, diagnose, and fix the problem the day after I contacted them. They're expensive but they got the job done.

I called and was helped very professionally by Jessica, who took the info and arranged an appointment for someone to come by. She told me what to expect in terms of time and cost for the work. The plumber, Harry, actually arrived early, was very nice and knew exactly what needed to be done in each case, and everything was addressed in one visit. Once I receive the quote for the water heater replacement, if it is a competitive quote and in line with what I expect to pay, I will definitely use these folks to do it.

Big Apple did an excellent job. Boiler replacement can be a daunting, frustrating and expensive experience for a homeowner. Big Apple manages to make the experience both painless and seamless. The tear out team (removed old boiler) and installation team (installed new boiler) were both professional and courteous. They were prompt and diligent. Nick and Jessica were wonderful to work with, and very understanding to the special circumstances I was dealing with. Their flexibility, guidance and understanding was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The guys tackled a miserable job and did it well and the office staff was on the ball about setting up an appointment and letting us know when the plumbers would be there. The bathtub plumbing in the 3rd-floor apartment was leaking down onto the ceiling of the 2nd-floor tenants and had to be fixed through a hole in the ceiling that my husband opened up. It is very old plumbing but they managed to replace the bad pipes and even point out another pipe that was in danger of failing soon, which we had replaced. My husband had to call them back twice before they left to tighten up one new connection that was still dripping just a tiny bit, but that is the joy of old plumbing.

First, I posted a photo of my invoice to prove that they did work with me because I noticed they were claiming otherwise to discredit other people's reviews. I would never recommend Big Apple. Do not sign a contract with this company. This is the first negative review I've ever posted about anything because I usually feel too sorry to do so. In this case, I feel morally obligated to. This is a long, detailed review but I urge you to read through so you don't go through what I did. I got a new boiler installed in the summer which came with a yearlong warrantee for repairs. It broke this winter and when I requested to schedule times for repair, I was either made to wait all day or had to work my schedule around theirs or not receive service. I was literally told "take it or leave it" when I asked if they could come at a different time to consider my work schedule. One major repair took three days (machine parts were replaced and they had to drain my heaters). This month, it stopped working again. This is in the dead of winter. It was extremely cold so I called for a repair. They said they'd arrive the following day. I checked in throughout the day and was told they were on their way. They never arrived and never called me to let me know. Their office closed and I couldn't reach anyone. I cancelled all my plans hoping they'd show up at night and was so cold and worried that my pipes would burst. The next morning, my father had to go to the office in person to urge them to check. I missed another day of work to wait for the repair since they wouldn't schedule a time for me. When they came, they realized the thermostat was loose and I just needed to get a new one. I was relieved it was an easy fix and replaced it myself. 2 weeks later, I received a mailed invoice for the visit claiming I had told them someone else broke the thermostat and touched the boiler (I did not tell them this. The thermostat was just old.) and therefore the service was not covered. Keep in mind, they were asking me to pay $163 for a visit that I had to resolve on my own which should normally be covered under the warrantee which was for a $17,000 purchase. When I called to refute it, the representative scolded me, and threatened to void the warrantee if I did not pay it. I am afraid to ever call them for any services. I am paying them out of fear because they know where I live. If there is an issue in the future, I will have to call another company because warrantee or not, the stress and paranoia that comes with Big Apple is not worth it.

Nick is very responsive, flexible with scheduling, and offers helpful advice. Harry and Danny showed up on time, did great work, and were nice guys. Jessica in the office is also very responsive and helpful. Fair pricing.
