We were pleased with the work and the price was reasonable. However, there were a few minor issues: privacy glass was ordered for basement door window but door was sent with clear glass; we accepted it as is. Molding from our dining room was removed from back door area and accidentally taken by workmen; company told us to come and retrieve it as it was found on the truck. This was not our fault and insisted that the wood be returned to us. Office claimed it would be brought back when the workmen were in our area and we never saw them or the wood again.

Another fantastic job by this company. The boss Louis is knows what he is doing. He listens to exactly what you say, applies his knowledge and expertise, supervises the project, provides very capable and friendly workers and the result is something you will love. Highly recommend this company. Have used them several times over the last few years and they have never let me down.

Everything went as planned from taking measurements, to placing the order (there was a bit of back and forth on the work order agreement), to delivery and installation. The company was punctual to each appointment. The installers were diligent to protect the work areas and careful to not cause any collateral damage. Although I felt the windows were a bit on the pricey side, they look great and I immediately notice a significant reduction in the ambient noise from outside. That said, I guess you get what you pay for and if ever in the same position, I'd buy the same windows. I dealt with Mary Ann in the office, Luis came to take the measurements and George and Gilberto installed the windows. I am looking forward to see the added efficiency in the winter. I should note that I got quotes from a few different top rated places and when the sales people came to take measurements, I felt like they were casing my home; not a good feeling. When Luis came to take the measurements, he was professional, focused and offered a few options. If you decide to go with them, I hope you have a similar experience.

This is one great company that deserves your business. The workers are punctual, professional and knowledgeable.  They are careful when working so as not to damage anything and they clean up after each day of work. 
All work is done to a high standard of quality and is constantly monitored as it is being done by the boss Louis.  I have had used this company twice already and will do so again in the future.  All my encounters with the workers have been nothing but pleasant. Great products, great workers, great quality and great service  make this company a real standout from the crowd.

I signed a contract with this provider on July 10 and was told that windows will be installed in 2-3 weeks. When I called in 4 weeks I was told that because of backorder I need to wait for few more weeks. When finally on September 13 ( 2 month after the order), installers arrived, I was informed that 1 window was broken and I need to wait for few more weeks to finish the project.



Today is September 24 and I'm still waiting, new date I was given is October 6.



I'll add the final date to my review when the work would be done .

UPDATE. October 13 work was finished. I don't have problem with a quality but it took 3 months

Bay ridge windows installed my new dining room window and did a fantastic job. They were professional and neat. I really had nothing to do when they left. I recommend them highly.

I hired them but they haven't done the work yet. They were knowledgeable but they weren't very nice. The price was fair and they seemed very professional. They were excellent.

Installation was fine. Windows are wood and heavy to lift and there is only one handle in the middle which makes opening the window difficult.

Bill, the owner, and his staff gave us excellent service throughout the project--from start to finish. This was the second set of upgraded windows they installed in our house because our first experience was A+. Now we are shopping for a backdoor and Bay Ridge is our first choice. When we do our last batch of windows, Bay Ridge is who we are going to call.

They were wonderful!!!

They were excellent. The installers were good and the back office was good. They have been very professional. I am having them install windows for three more floors.

I was generally satisfied, with a couple of hiccups along the way, as follows. I have an old house and things are not always straight and plumb. When the main door was installed, I was asked if I wanted it to line up with the existing molding, and I said yes. The downside of this though is that the door is not perfectly plumb, and so will not stay open -- but I was not told of this downside.
The alternative would have been to have the door plumb, but not line up with the existing molding. After I complained, the company offered to re-install the door so that it was plumb, but the tradeoff would have been that it would not line up with the existing molding. The bottom line on this is that the company could have done a better job on communicating the alternatives and their trade-offs.
Another complaint was that the barrels of the hinges for the door do not have caps on the bottom of the hinge barrel. I was told that this was the way that the hinges come, even though the door maker's website (i.e., Marvin Doors) clearly shows the hinges having caps on the bottoms of their barrels. I found this to be quite annoying, since hinges typically come with caps on the hinge barrel bottom.
Another complaint was that security door is designed to hold interchangeable screens and windows on its top and bottom. Although 2 windows are supplied, the door only came with one screen --so if I wanted 2 screens (which I did), I had to pay extra ($40) for the second screen. Given the cost of the door and screen, I found the penny pinching to be annoying.

They did a great job.

This vendor's price was very close the lowest cost proposal and we had used this vendor in years past. Based on this past experience, I thought that using this vendor was a lower risk approach than going with the absolutely lowest bid.
Every step went nearly perfectly.
After receiving the first proposal, I requested changes (removal of transoms and the use of silicone caulk on the exterior). The vendor responded with a new proposal in a timely manner.

Delivery and installation went exactly as planned except that they finished one day early.
The actual installation took two days instead of the planned three days.

All work was done professionally by a team led by a 23-year employee of the company who had worked on one of our previous projects..
This company really has their act together.

When I initially contacted them about doing the windows, they gave me a quote, which I liked. They wanted 40% upfront and the rest of them in the partition. I gave them the money. They told me it would be three weeks from the date I paid the money for the windows to be installed. I said three weeks would be good because it would be still within 2011 and it ended out to be roughly two months. I waited a total of 4 months and a half. I thought I was waiting for the entire time from the time they got the window. It seems they had windows since three weeks, but they didn't have time to put them in. The part of the problem was that they were in New York with the windows and had the windows been put in when they said I wouldn't even had been upset and I would have facilitated them. The actual windows look fantastic. They did the installation in one day.

I contacted bay ridge, in addition to several other window companies to get an estimate to replace all the windows in a tenanted building that I own. based on my initial experience with them (quite responsive in selling stage) as well as reviews on this site, I decided to go with Bay Ridge Windows
On September 27th I made a deposit to have the windows in my building replaced. I was told that the it would take 2-3 weeks for windows to come in and that the whole thing could take a month! it took three months as the final windows were installed december 21st! the first time they came apparently the windows did not fit on one floor but somehow they managed to make them work...then they realized for another floor the guy wrote down the wrong measurements entirely and they would have to re-order these windows..this error led to the final installation taking place on the 21st. the installation guys showed up late for first installation, the person in office was way off in terms of the amount of time needed for installation leading to irate tenant who had budgeted time according to what I had been told. All in all, it turned out to be a horrible experience with tenants having to have windows installed during the winter...I cannot recommend this company in good faith to anyone...the experience was not what I would have expected.

It went well.

The service was good and the people were nice. They did it for a price that I was really impressed with. I had gotten a lot of high quotes. It was a tricky job and thy came up with a solution for the work. For the price it was good work and the windows are good quality. I would use them again.

Everything turned out good. They did a good job. The problem was that they had some work with the windows and they weren't very communicative with like letting us know when they were going to install it and things like that. We had to contact them a little bit for all this information. We had to get them to come and once they did come, they are very good. They are very professional and did a great job. So that was a bit of a problem and they were also a little pricey as well. I would use their services again in the future.

Everything went very well. Bay Ridge was responsive, professional, did a great installation when they said they would, removed 80-year old windows, and cleaned up very well. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and would not hesitate to use them again for more work in this area.

They were very good. They had been recommended to us by a neighbor who had used them and was satisfied with them. They do good work, the windows were properly installed and the prices were reasonable. They seem to be okay.
