They were one of the few Brooklyn locksmiths I called who answered the phone and said they could send someone immediately (it was a weekend). They came promptly, opened the door, and replaced the faulty lock at my request. The emergency call was $115, the new lock was $175.

The locksmith gave a fair price for the job and did the work quickly and in a friendly manner.

Not only was it done promptly but accurately. My appointment was for 9-10 and they called at 9:30 and arrived 15 minutes later. They were very professional and courteous. My lock was installed and my daughter and i were VERY excited using our next lock. I would recommend them in a heartbeat! A+++

We rented an apartment in our house and couldn't find the key for the new tenant and had to put a new cylinder in the lock. The appointment was scheduled for the following day between 11A and 1P. The office called around 11 A to say the locksmith was on his way! When he arrived, he worked quickly and professionally. I'm a big fan of this company and will definitely put them on my "go to" list.

Other than above, I do not recall anything else.

The price was exactly as quoted, but somewhat higher than I might have expected. The work was done very cleanly, although the two intercom boxes inside the apartment were somewhat larger than my aunt and I expected; the one that she wanted on her kitchen counter takes up a large portion of the counter, and my aunt asked if the other one could be mounted on the side of a cabinet in her bedroom instead of on a nightstand, which Miguel took care of at no extra charge. I gave Miguel the go-ahead to do the work the week before Christmas and he told me that he wouldn't be able to do the work until after New Year's because he was taking the intervening week off. This was understandable but unfortunate because my aunt, who is homebound, was discharged from a nursing home during that week, so he had to do the work around my aunt, instead of in an empty apartment, which was somewhat inconvenient for all. On the day of the installation, Miguel and his colleague arrived about 30 minutes late, but they were able to complete the work in a single day.

I called All Security for an appointment and they could come the following day. I then needed to change the appointment to the day after that, which they were completely accomodating about. I have used All Security in the past to fix a number of old locks and door handles on our Park Slope brownstone. They were extremely skilled and professional and the repairs they did then have all held out perfectly to this day.

This is an update to my original review of this company which, at that time, wasn’t entirely positive. However, I am now happy to recommend this company specifically because of the efforts of the owner, Roger. At first, there were some communication issues around my scheduled appointments. Appointments were late and/or canceled and they could have done a better job calling me and letting me know rather than me having to keep calling them to find out what was going on. Secondly, after measuring our doors for the gates and paying 50% of the estimate upfront, when the gates arrived, they were too big and they had to cut the gates and weld them back together in order for them to fit properly. They did in fact complete the project and the gates have been installed but I was a bit disappointed by the error. At that time, I would not have recommended this company, but the owner, Roger, called me a year and a half later after seeing my negative review here on Angie’s List. He was very polite and apologetic about the experience which I really appreciated. There are not enough business owners in New York City that care about whether or not their customers are satisfied. I was considering installing a fence between my yard and our bordering alley so I asked him to send someone out to give me an estimate. They called me that morning to let me know they were on their way and they arrived on time. They took some measurements and made some suggestions for the fence and I also asked them to check on the security gates that had been previously installed on our patio doors. They found that the gates were loose at the top of the door and said that they would come back to fix them more securely. When they did return, they had to do a fair amount of work to ensure that the gates were secure, mostly due to the strange construction material used on our building which I won’t elaborate on. Point being is that my experience with a lot of New York City vendors is that when a job begins to get difficult or when unexpected circumstances pop up, the workers often try to blow it off or do a quick haphazard job to finish it, get paid and get out. That was not the case here. They stayed until it was done properly and I am happy with the results.
