"Dear [Member Name Removed], assuming this is your name, When we contract with a customer it is stated within their paperwork to notify their adjoining neighbors of their fence plans and project dates. Unfortunately, it appears your neighbor did not elect to include you in their fence replacement process. As it turns out, after our customers had a survey of their property performed, your fence was on their property. It was reported to Affordable Fence Company that our customers had to get the local law enforcement involved to invoke their rights to build the fence. Research was done at planning and zoning and there wasn't even a permit on file for the fence in question, "which was encroaching on our customers property", that was removed per our customers request . Furthermore there are no HOA covenant controlled guidelines in the area where the work was preformed. We always make sure our customers, that we are "contracted" with, are fully aware of the fence plans, project dates, processes, etc. It is therefore their responsibility to notify their neighbors, in which case this must have been you, of their intent to replace their fence. In some cases the adjoining neighbors elect not to be involved in the project for various reasons such as , they do not want to share in the cost of the fence or they have no interest in the project itself. Therefore we do not have any contact information for these neighboring residents. We at Affordable Fence Company, Inc. are always professional, informative and courteous to our contracted customers as well as any adjoining neighbors and accept full responsibility of any issues that might arise during and after the fence project. With that being said, your complaint might have been better served by contacting your neighbor, our customer, and letting them know your concerns. On a personal note, I as well am a military veteran and Affordable Fence Company, Inc. respects, honors and supports all military active and inactive members as well as offer a military discount to our service men and women. I just find it somewhat curious why you would use your late husbands military duty and service to make your point. We would be very pleased to contact you or our customer in reference to this response but we do not know who you are or have any contact information for you. You may contact me direct at: Affordable Fence Company, Inc. "Affordable Fence did a very good job and went above and beyond with the permitting required for our place. The installers were very professional and made sure the project was completed in a timely manner. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
