To date, he has not completed the work that we have paid him for. He has consistently lied to us during this project including purchasing materials (like fixtures and garage doors) and doing work that wasn't actually completed (and taken the money we gave him). He co-mingled our funds with other projects and used our funds for other projects (which he admitted to when he need my help figuring out which funds were for my project during an insurance audit). He is attempting to inflate our bill with costs that do not belong to our project or were not approved. He lists inaccurate payments to us in attempt to get us to pay again. He claims overages were approved that were never approved. We made many attempts to come to resolutions and were forthcoming with copies of paid checks (as he requested because he had no idea what funds were from our project). In response, he dodges phone calls and makes up excuses and lies. He failed to pay his subcontractor - who are now placing mechanics liens on our home and intentionally bounced checks to subcontractors (example-countertop fabricators).
