Hot water braided tubing had failed at the connection to hard copper pipe. Water leaked everywhere. It was determined original sink faucet had to be replaced. Not just braided cable. Had to return to adjust sink disposal connection and check toilet valve replacement. Total cost below reflects 2 visit service charges.

Chris returned my phone call within 24 hours after I found a problem with my oil burner. He came to my home the same day he called to looked everything over and give his opinion of exactly what was wrong. He measured to make sure we would have the right fit and the next day called me with the estimate for the new burner. He secured the new oil burner for delivery, and took care of getting all permits needed to remove and install. Chris came on 11/2/15 with 2 co-workers and installed the new oil burner that day. It took about 8 hours and when he and his assistants left I had a fully operational new oil burner. After the asbestos was removed from my oil burner, Chris returned on January 2 2016 and removed the old burner as well as wrapped the heating pipes with fiberglass to keep the heat in. He also adjusted the hot water temperature for me. The new unit runs smoothly and I am so happy I found Chris.

"Not sure why I was given an "f" for punctuality? I believe this was a Saturday service call at the homeowners request. Anyway, thank you for an all "A" review"

Based on Angie’s List excellent reviews, I hired Chris Bartolini to install an expansion tank for my hot water heater in July 2013 because I was having problems with high pressure building up when the heater fired. In spite of the new expansion tank, however, I continued having high pressure. When I called Christ he said it must be the pressure control valve that had gone bad and needed to be replaced. The quote he gave me for that was ridiculous ($400.00) so I called three other plumbers for estimates. Each and every one of them was surprised to see that the expansion tank was installed on the hot water side rather than the cold side which they said was the correct way to install it. When I asked Christ about that he said it did not matter which side and that it was not the problem
and continued to claim the problem was the pressure control valve probably. So, I had my pressure control valve replaced by another
plumber. Even with the new valve, however, I continued having spikes in the pressure up to 150. I spoke to Chris again and he continued to maintain that either the new pressure control valve must be faulty or the expansion tank had gone bad. I called the expansion tank company Amtrol to file a claim under the warranty. Lo and behold - after explaining the situation they sent me the warranty policy which clearly stated that the expansion tank was to be installed on the COLD water side and there was no
warranty if the installation was incorrect. At this point I had the other plumber replace the expansion tank Christ had installed with a new one on the cold water side. Success - no more high pressure! As a result of Chris's wrong installation I wasted:
$180.00 payment to him for installation of expansion tank
$66.65 for the first expansion tank
$225.24 for a new pressure control valve which probably was not faulty in the first place.
Total monetary loss: $471.89. The time and frustration – I don’t even know how to price that.
My next step is the Better Business Bureau and more time spent trying to recover my money. But hopefully this review will help you avoid all this frustration by NOT hiring Chris Bartolini to install an expansion tank for your hot water heater.
UPDATE: November 5, 2014: I am even more shocked reading Chris Bartolini's response. He is blatantly lying: I never had an expansion tank before I called him to install one on 07/03/2013 (not two years ago) and the only reason this problem has been going on for so long was because I kept calling him to complain and he kept insisting there was no issue with his install on the hot water side and that the problem was in the pressure control valve.

"I did not install the expansion tank on the hot water line. Upon my original trip to [member name removed] home (which I must add was over 2 years ago) I explained that her existing expansion tank was not in the proper place, it was on the hot water side of the water heater. Whomever installed the water heater had put it in the wrong location. I proceeded to tell her that due to space limitations on the cold water inlet, I would have to repipe it to have it installed correctly. She did not want to pay the additional money to do the installation correctly, her exact words were, it worked fine all these years where it has been installed. I agreed to install it there without a warranty because it was NOT in the correct location. After speaking further with Daisy, 2 weeks ago, I offered to pipe it to the correct location at an additional fee which was offered at time of original replacement of expansion tank 2 YEARS AGO. Furthermore, the job of an expansion tank is not to regulate water pressure it is to control expansion. I have always stood behind my work, and will continue to do so. 2 Years later I am getting blamed for something that the homeowner did not want me to correctly install at time of the replacement"

Chris was prompt (actually early) he was able to come out saturday morning after speaking Friday night.
Chris came by and identified the gas leak, fixed and tested it again to verify the fix. He also did the same for the outdoor yard hydrant.
What was great is how well Chris communicated via messages and in person. He was very personable, he explained the work being performed making sure you understood what was happening.
I will absolutely call upon Chris if i have any other plumbing related issues.

First, I attempted to do this work myself. Boy, am I glad I called a pro! Couldn't have had a better experience. The old hose bib was soldered on and I wouldn't have been able to remove with a standard wrench. Chris came with his blow torch and went right to work! Actually, before he started the work, he was willing to look at 3 other plumbing issues I was having (provide an estimate for an old slop sink with piping and quick fix 2 other leaky hose bibs). He gave me great advice and provided some much needed plumbing education for my home! I even got some tips on how to maintain my outdoor A/C condenser. Chris was VERY knowledgeable and I will DEFINITELY be calling him back for the future plumbing work we discussed. (P.S. - The grade of 'B' for punctuality was given only because he had to reschedule our original app't - for personal reasons...completely legit - and because he had quite a few appointments the day of service. BUT...WELL WORTH THE WAIT!)
Call Complete Plumbing and Heating. If Chris, you'll be in great hands and you won't regret it. :)

They came to my home the prior day and diagnosed the problem as being a leak in a steam radiator. I was informed it was going to be a difficult job because of the limited room they had since the radiator was recessed into the wall. When they arrived at my home they covered everything insuring there wouldn't be any damage or mess. The problem was corrected and completed in a few hours. The job was done fast, neat and at a good price. You can't ask for more than that.

The old boiler was removed without much mess in a day. Chris left a single boiler and hot water heater hooked up until the new unit was in place so there was virtually no downtime. He pulled all of the permits and met with the town inspectors. Installation was organized and his work was neat. Other contractors who have seen the new boiler complemented the job. I can't say how much more efficient the new unit is from the old ones since we had just purchased the house. However it uses significantly less gas then in our old (and smaller) home. Chris was willing to help navigate the (very confusing) Con Ed rebate process. Chris virtually always shows up when he promises and if he cant he calls ahead of time.

"Thank you (Member name removed). It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. I take it you made a mistake in checking "No" to hire again as in your review you wrote "While the actual cause has yet to be determined, Chris was very professional and I look forward to continuing the work". I'm glad I was able to take care of the issue with minimal cost! All the best"

Chris was the only plumber I contacted who responded immediately and per email as I requested. All of his communications were
easy to follow, professional, and he took the time to answer all of my questions in detail that I could understand. He also made himself available very early on a Saturday and came back later that day per my request.
His appearance and manner immediately put me at ease and I would have no problem leaving him alone in my home. He also worked extremely fast.
I only gave a B on the price because who does not want to pay less, but, he is a Master Plumber and worth every penny.
Overall, I highly recommend hiring Chris. He is licensed and bonded and without question has the skill of Master Plumber.

"Thank you for the overall review grade of "A"! Not sure why I was given a "C" on quality and "C" on price as I was there almost 2 hours between diagnosing, going to get the part, repairing and also fixing the soap dispenser. I am glad that you would use us again and look forward to seeing you again."

I called several plumbing-heating contractors on a Thursday morning,Chris returned my call within a hour. I stated what the problem was and Chris was at my home later that afternoon with the requisite part to repair-not replace the original pump (less money that way). Most of the other guys I called never returned my call-except for one that called back the following Tuesday! Man if wasn't for Chris I would have froze my a*** off that weekend. Kudos Chris. I purposely withheld this review for several months to see if the part would hold up-it did.

We have been working with Chris for three years and HIGHLY recommend him! He is responsive (he always returns my calls within a few hours), a great communicator, punctual, professional, reasonably priced, and does excellent work.

We were introduced to Chris when he repaired a sewage drain on a house we were renting in Hartsdale (he was the third plumber our landlord had called about the problem, and unlike the other plumbers he immediately knew what was happening and fixed it right away). We were so impressed with Chris based on that experience that he was the first person we called when we discovered plumbing problems on the new home that we purchased in 2010.

To date, we've used Chris for the following projects on our home and have ALWAYS been happy with his work and his rates:
* Installed 2 new gas water heaters
* Repaired a leaking gas line to our dryer
* Unclogged a very stubbornly clogged drain in a downstairs bathroom
* Installed a humidifier on our hot air heating system
* Serviced our furnace
* Repaired a leaking bathtub faucet
* Repaired a leaking shower head

We can't say enough great things about Chris. Even if we could find a less expensive plumber, we wouldn't even considering switching. We intend to do several more large projects on our home in the future (remodeling a bathroom, replacing old baseboard radiant heaters, building an addition that includes a new kitchen and master bath) and Chris will definitely be the plumber we call for those.

Chris is a great guy. Very professional and does his work thoroughly. His work has always been of superior quality and my wife and I have recommended him to our neighbors. They too think that he is terrific. If anyone who is interested in a master plumber in Westchester County, New York, Chris has our vote 100%. We were recommended by a neighbor to Chris after dismissing a licensed plumber who did not know how to install high-end plumbing fixtures.

He is great. He is very good about getting back to me and scheduling me quickly. He is very professional and neat. He explains everything very well. He always seems to have any parts or tools that he needs. He never has to keep coming back, he comes one visit and he fixes everything smooth. I would use his services again in the future.

They are very nice, professional and pretty reliable. They do the job, and their prices are reasonable. He is expected to come over today. They usually come on time but this is the first time that he is running late. He actually said he would be coming between 10 and 11, and he is still not here yet. I would use them again in the future.
