Woodcraft Floors Inc has been in business since 1985 on Long Island, in the Tri-State area and internationally. That’s more than 20 years experience. We have worked with homeowners, property managers, construction companies, designers, architects, schools and museums. Had a wonderful experience. The price was competitive, the staff was timely, and the job was done well in record time. I even left them alone in the apartment and had no issues and felt they were trustworthy. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We called Woodcraft Floors for an estimate to restore the wood floors of our 4BR cape home. Tony's assistant was from the beginning very helpful and pleasant. She scheduled an appointment right away and Tony was here that evening
on time. He was very polite and professional, answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. We received an estimate in a timely manner and the price was great! We scheduled a date for work to begin within a week. They were, again, on time, polite and respectful towards myself and my home. They moved and replaced my furniture with care as promised. My floors completed look Beautiful. I am so happy and I recommend Woodcraft Floors highly.

Showed up on schedule & were pleasant & professional. And I really liked the owner Tony (great Irish accent) who runs the business with his son. Very honest about why the screening (more expensive) and coating wouldn't work. My floors look great.

Start to finish, a great job. Tony, the owner, his son Chris, and the crew are all excellent and hard-working.
They showed up every day early, worked until their job was done, and cleaned up. They were careful about not damaging
anything in the apartment. In short, the floor looks beautiful. Their new flooring matches my original flooring perfectly and
you cannot tell where one starts and one ends. They did a much better job than the general contractor who originally
installed my floor about 7 years ago - I wish they had done my whole apartment!
I highly recommend Woodcraft Floors - you will not be disappointed.

Everyone was very nice, quick to answer questions and return phone calls. The workmen were very professional and listened to what I wanted them to do. I had to be rescheduled twice, but accepted that. The estimate was that it would take one day, it took 3 days. The floors look great, almost as if they are new, for the most part. Three issues are the cause of my low rating:
1. They did not protect the rest of the apartment from dust nor did they alert me to do it. There were piles of sawdust in every corner, on every surface, coating the walls, and in each closet, an inch on the flors and coating everything. They advertised "dustless" sanding but it wasn't; I would have covered everything myself if I had known.
2. Although they said that they would move large pieces of furntiure back into the correct rooms, they did not. I called on this because I was concerned that I would scrape the floors if I tried to put it back and was told they would return to fix scratches -- not the answer I wanted to hear.
3. There are a few gauges in the wood, where the machine dug too deeply. They are glaring and one is in the middle of the living room -- I am told that there is nothing that they can do to repair it. Not the answer I wanted to hear. There were other indications of messy work such as drips of polyurethane on kitchen cabinets and the ceramic floor.

We bought 1920?s single family three story house in Woodhaven and pulled out the carpeting to reveal a nice, original wood floor. A friend of ours back in the Midwest is a wood worker and a perfectionist and we were tempted to fly him out for a few days to sand and finish our floors but his schedule would not allow it. But he did coach us on what to look for in a contractor and he thought a few of the flooring specialists we talked to sounded like they were cutting corners or had other red flags in their proposals. He thought the proposal from Woodcraft was the best in terms of work methods, materials, and time line so that is how we picked Anthony and his team. And while another proposal was cheaper, Woodcraft was not the most expensive proposal we saw.
And we couldn?t be happier with our choice - our floors look GREAT! In fact, the other contractors coming though the house (painters, masons, plumbing) have all commented on how nice it looks. And you know these guys see A LOT of floors that have just been refinished, so that tells you something. In addition to giving us great floors (and two staircases) Woodcraft was really easy to work with ? they were always on time, were very courteous, explained things as they went, and when we e-mailed or called with a question they were very prompt in getting back to us. I would highly recommend them.

I contacted Woodcraft Floors to repair a few damaged brazilian cherry planks that the original installer refused to replace/repair. We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Woodcraft Floors. Setting up an appointment was simple as they always returned calls and followed up. On the day of the appointment, two workmen arrived on time and were neat and efficient. They covered all the furniture to protect from the saw dust and cleaned up thoroughly. The best part - you can not tell that a repair even took place. The replacement planks look perfect and we are thrilled with the service.

Tony provided a quick turnaround for a fair price. I needed a very quick turnaround so I did not aggressively negotiate. His rates matched most of the other quotes received, however he was able to provide the turnaround time I needed.

Tony and his crew was on time, reasonably priced, and very knowledgeable. The finished the job in a few day and cleaned up before they left. They left a wonderful experience in my head. I highly recommend them to others.
