Originally they blamed the cabinet manufacturer (Ultracraft) for the delays and in fact we didn't mind early on because our overall home renovation was taking longer than we expected. I called the manufacturer and they comfirmed that their typical delivery time is 5 weeks. But after the weeks passed, their story became more and more suspicious.
Most recently they demanded we pay the 50% balance for the order to them in cash and that they would deliver. We asked for proof that the order had been placed with Ultracraft and they said they could only give us their word. They then stopped returning phone calls. My husband returned to their showroom this week and they claimed they were not familiar with our project.
I held out making bad reviews until recently because I was really hopefully things would all work out. We actually used them 10 years ago without a problem. They have been in business for 40 years and their showroom was beautiful. However, my patience and finances have run out. I am now working with the Dept of State Consumer Protection agency, as well as BBB, and Consumer Affairs.I've asked my CC for a refund of the deposit we made, and I've sent a written request to Tarallo for refund as well.
Everyone please be aware that you should not do business with this company. They are dishonest and even have logos on their website for associations they are not a member of, like NKBA.
Anthony Jr., who becomes your main point of for ordering and delivery is HORRIBLE to work with. He takes no responsibility, has no sense of urgency, and will NEVER call you back if you leave him a message. I began to wonder if Tarralo is experiencing some financial problems and was embezzling the money versus actually ordering the products from the manufacturers. I ordered granite tops for the bathroom vanities and they were supposed to be in stock and installed within 7 days from tempting. After my daily follow up calls and Anthony assuring me that they were coming he called me 2 weeks after templating to tell me that their fabricator didn't have the slabs in stock and he had no timeline when we would get the counters. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and he said I would get a refund to my Credit Card the following week. Well here's the kicker...I called every few days to follow up on the refund and was continually assured it was coming. After 5 weeks and still no refund I called my Credit Card company and had to file a complaint against Tarallo for an unauthorized charge as they did not perform the services promised and never refunded my money. This company is a sham and you should not do business with them. Buyer beware!
Ms. Rasheed visited our house taking field measurements and their layouts were complete May 15th. I provided my MasterCard credit for the cabinet deposits required on May 15th and for a quartz counter on May 30th and an additional amount later for a quartz backsplash. To be prepared for construction we ordered a new range, refrigerator and dishwasher at Sears On July 5th.
We became concerned as we reached August without a delivery date despite repeated inquiries. When we asked the planner, Ms. Rasheed then told me that the cabinets would arrive in mid-September claiming that the factory now worked only 3 days a week. We have continued to inquire ever since by email and phone. In October Shy referred me to Anthony Tarallo. He continued telling me that would have to check the status and get back to us. It is now mid-November and they still have never given us any specifics or assurance that the goods will ever be delivered.
I finally consulted the manufacturer Kitchen Maid who provide on-line order tracking. I asked Tarallo by email to provide me with the Kraft Maid order number or other reference so I can track the order on their website. I received only a promise that someone would call me and no one has.
Delivery of the goods during the holidays or winter months will only be a problem for us. The appliances from Sears have been ready for delivery since August and we repeatedly have to postpone their delivery. We have lost confidence in their services or what they can deliver.
Dealing with Tarallo was a truly a horrible experience.
In March they cashed my check for $3000 as a deposit for Kraftmaid cabinets. As unbelievable as it sounds, it is now October and I still don't have my cabinets. All they ever told me was that they were "having issues" with Kraftmaid. No one there seemed to be in charge or could give me any information about the status of my order. My multiple telephone messages went unanswered.
I finally called Kraftmaid directly and was told that no order could take anywhere near this long. On September 19th I went to their store and asked for my money back. I was told that was not possible.
It is now 7 months since they took my money. There are no cabinets and I cannot get my money back. I have had to file a claim with Small Claims Court.

"Thank you! We saw the pictures and it came out amazing! It was our pleasure to help you the whole way through. We loved how you decorated the room with the little vases and picture on the wall, added that personal touch that makes it all work! If you need anything else or just have a question, you know who to call! -Anthony Jr."
She came and measured my kitchen, gave me suggestions and spent a lot of time with me in the showroom looking at samples. I purchased cabinets & hardware, the kitchen sink & faucet as well as the granite counter tops. Ultimately I was happy with the quality of the products as well as the price.
My issue was with delivery time. I ordered the cabinets in October, 2012. They were delivered April, 2013 (over 20 weeks) with a date for delivery that was not flexible. My contractor had to make special arrangements to have the cabinets stored until he was ready for them. The granite counter tops also took over two weeks for delivery from the time they were measured.
"Thank you for the review [member name removed]! We are always trying to improve our customer's experience when they work with us and both your feedback and business is appreciated greatly. If you ever have any questions or issues that come up, please, do not hesitate to give us a call. We would love to see pictures of the kitchen when it is finished! - Anthony Jr"
