Description of Work: I called them for an price estimate, was told I need call their office to make an appointment. I called and left a message, back and forth a couple of phone calls to get the appointment set. Not too bad at that point, the plumber was willing to swing by and give me an free estimate, the lady answer my phone was nice talk to. Then at the appointment time he just did not show up. I called him, nobody pick up, so I left a message. Waited and no phone call back. So I called their office, left a message again. Not too long, I get a phone call back, a lady told me he will not come and they are busy this season and not be able to do the estimate. She apologized though. | |What should I say about this company? I do not want to judge them on one incident, and the lady in their office did call me back apologized for the missing appointment. That's why overall I still rated them B. However, I made the appointment three days in advance with hope, and I waited one and half hour for nothing, it was not a pleasant experience at all.

+ -1 moreReached out to Tand C in the mid-afternoon and plumber was at my home promptly first thing next morning. Diagnosed the problem, and gave me options. Decided to replace the water heater, and requested to perform the work as quickly as they could. Because of my circumstances [very small child + wife giving birth any day now], plumber put his other duties on hold and started that minute. Got his helper [which was his son] to pick up a new unit and deliver within an hour or so. Work was done in a few hours [not days] and even removed the old unit. Very friendly and helpful local vendor that I would definitely use again.
Description of Work: Replaced gas water heater with power vent.

+ -1 moreFound Claude on Angie's list and he answered my call promptly and and came by to give me an estimate right away. Clearly knows his craft. Price seemed reasonable and told him to go ahead with the work. I was going to try to o the job myself but was really glad I didn't. The job went extremely smoothly and Claude offer various advice on other plumbing and heating issues in my 99 year old house. Will very likely be hiring him soon for other pending projects.
Description of Work: Replaced valve in steam radiator.

Description of Work: I recently moved into this apartment and wanted to install better radiator values. We thought we could do it ourselves and instead broke the value. The broken value was removed and all the radiators were checked for safety. I was thrilled with his work and how quickly he responded.

I called the company and Claude answered the phone himself, he was at another job in Manhattan and said he could come out later that day to take a look at what was needed. He came over to take a look and didn't charge a service fee for the estimate. He told me what was needed and had to go to a hardware store in the Bronx. He came back to the Yonkers to another hardware store to pick up the part needed. He had to go to his daughter's recital and asked if he could come back later in the evening. I told him that was fine, but I was not going to be home. I left a key with a neighbor and he came back in the evening to fix the leak. I felt very comfortable with him when I first met him and I trusted him being in my house without me being there. I am happy that I found him and Claude is great! I thought for his time and labor his price was very fair and he quoted me the price before he knew he would have to go and buy the material needed.
Description of Work: We had a leaking pipe in the basement. Claude from T & C replaced the pipe.

+ -1 moreClaude, did the entire job in less than a week, he was on time every single time and worked fast, knew exactly what to do and worked around our schedule.
Description of Work: Claude, the owner of T & C installed a brand new furnace, the work was unbelievable, he does excellent work and I will definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a new furnace put in. He was clean/picked up after himself and took the old tank and everything else away. JOB WELL DONE!

+ -1 moreJoe arrived at the scheduled time and Claude came by in the afternoon to see how it was going. They both did a fantastic job. Joe replaced both faucets in the kitchen. One of the old faucets had non-standard bolts so it was very hard to remove but Joe was able to wiggle it free. Joe replaced one bathroom faucet and Claude replaced the second bathroom faucet. They were polite and Claude gave me a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Replaced two bathroom faucets and two kitchen faucets in my apartment. They cleaned up the work area.

+ -1 moreClaude's promptness and attention to detail was commendable. When cutting the wall open, he arranged for an exhaust fan and a vacuum cleaning unit (at his cost). All work was done neatly and quickly. He is a great plumber to know.
Description of Work: CUT OPEN A WALL to get to a leaking waste pipe, replaced the damaged pipe, re-made connections to sink and checked, checked, checked that all was well.

Description of Work: Removed old pipes and drains and replaced with new. Clean and snaked pipes. Repeated the cleaning until job was complete.
