The salesman was very helpfull. Spent well over an hour with us until we found the exact carpet type and style we wanted. The installers (two of them) arrived early and did a great job. There are fourteen steps leading from the ground level to the main floor. Three steps then a small landing and eleven more steps to the right going to the bedroom floor and finally the hallway of the bedroom floor. The steps are steel and closed with a small lip. Each step had to be individually cut, a tackless strip at the top back of the step, padding on the top of the step, Carpet attached to the tackless strip and wrapped around the lip of the step and glued to the vertilce back (the steps are closed not open). The small landing had to have tackless strips and an extension to go over the lip of the step going down and its back.. The upstairs hallway has wood tile. The piece for the upstairs hallway had to have a right angle pielce to cover the iip and the back of the top of the staircase and another right angle turn in the hallway at the other end as well and small extensions to meet the sadles of the four doors that open onto the hallway.
