We had broken pieces and some crack pieces. When we fill out the work order, it wasn't worth our time. They gave only per pound. Our computer desk was cracks. The back part of the cabinet was broken also. Waterford crystal was broken from the stem. They weren't pack well. Grandfather clock has a piece knock out of the glass door. My microwave roller was broke. T.V cart the roller was broken too. I collect thimbles, they were wood and they got wet. They had mold on them. I had to throw them out. Some of the furniture had scrapes on them.

The following is my objective review, stating the undisputed facts and my break down of my move with Prime Meridian Moving. All facts have been expressed to Homitch, Diane, and Prime Meridian Moving, without being refuted. I have a paper trail via email from June 05,2019 to today, March 4, 2020 supporting every word of this review. I would absolutely recommend you DO NOT use this company. I have seen other reviews where people say it went well. My review shows what happens when this company damages many of your expensive items and how they essentially ghost you. I took the time to write a detailed review to help others as I continue trying to receive payment for damages over 9 months after the fact. I will update this review if Prime Meridian Moving makes things right. But, after more than 9 months, it is not looking promising. On June 05, 2019 I had my move with Prime Meridian Moving from Westchester to NYC. Before the conclusion of the move, I noticed that many of my items were damaged. I contacted Homitch, took pictures of each damaged item and followed up with a claim form. It has been over 9 months without a resolution. Homitch did not refute any of the damage caused and told me I should not have tipped his movers since they did such a terrible job (I tipped them anyway). After over 6 months and continuing to follow up via email, he responded that the moving company's insurance would provide $200 for damages. Thousands-of-dollars of items were damaged. All items that I packaged myself in boxes were undamaged. Most pieces of furniture that were their responsibility to wrap in blankets and move (my coffee table, TV monitors, computer monitors, my couch, etc were severely scratched, crushed or cracked). This was beyond negligent on their part and transcends your typical small scratch or dent of an item. I have multiple deep scratches running along my monitors and glass coffee table. The scratches on the coffee table go from one end of the table to the other and look like pieces of metal were dragged across it, the couch corner is crushed and is noticeably pressed in from a heavy object sitting on top of it. After hearing back that the moving company would only pay $200, I requested to speak directly to the insurance company or for Homitch to speak to them on my behalf requesting more money or that he make up the difference. The move only cost $800 to begin with. The coffee table and couch alone were more valuable than the entire move. The items they damaged due to extreme negligence will cost me thousands to replace. He said he would request more money from the insurance company. After an additional 3 months and continuing to follow up, Homitch, finally got back to me and said the insurance company would only pay $100 (this was 4 days ago) and since he felt bad about it, would give twice as much: $200. I forwarded his email from 3 months prior where he had already said the insurance company agreed to pay $200. At this point, it was clear that he was making things up and didn’t remember sending the prior email where he said the insurance company agreed to pay $200. Realistically, he never submitted an insurance claim and decided on his own to pay $200 since he lied about the insurance claim amount in 2 different emails. Given the weeks to months it takes to get a response and only by following up through email continuously, I believe he never submitted the claim within the required 90-day period. Considering he didn't email me until over 6 months from the date of the move with the "insurance company's resolution of $200" and then over 3 months later, claimed they would only give $100 and he would match it, I don't believe he ever contacted the insurance company. Realistically, I would not take 6 months for an insurance company to issue a claim and they would not change the amount of money they offer, cutting it down from $200 to $100. When you’re telling the truth, the facts don’t change. When you lie, there are holes in your story because you’re lying. Fortunately, I have everything in writing, so the lies are obvious. I believe he was hoping to drag his feet and hope through ignoring me I would go away. It has been over 9 months without a resolution. Every few weeks, to a month, I have emailed Homitch and CCed Diane, usually receiving a response within a day or two that says they will look into it. They never follow up unless I email again asking for an update. I have a paper trail going back from the day of the move, June 05,2019, reporting the damages with photographic evidence, which they accepted and did not refute, to today, March 4, 2020. In my correspondence, they say they’ll look into it and never respond until my next email. Then their response to my next email is that they will look into it and the cycle continues, with them going weeks to months at a time without responding. At this point, it is clear they do not intend to send a check for the damages or to make this situation right. I have been extremely patient before posting a negative review. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone reading this review to ABSOLUTELY NOT use this moving company. When they damage your items, they will try to ghost you and not respond to emails weeks to months at a time.

It was very good. There was a slight issue, but they fixed it. I gave them a deposit and they didn't refund it to me until three months later. But, everything was fine. They were very nice. I didn't pay anything additional. They only had two guys there. I think, they originally told me it was supposed to be three. With three guys, it would have been a lot faster. It made it a little bit more difficult. A lot of the units were really heavy. So they had some struggle.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my entire life, not just with moving, but in dealing with any sort of service provider. They have zero business being on Angies list. 
Not only was the move hours and hours late (disclosure: we discussed a morning move, but were told that it could not be guaranteed, but most likely would be scheduled for the morning because of the size of move). I was contacted multiple times throughout the day and the move kept getting pushed back by hours. We didn't end up starting our move until about 6 or 7PM. 
The movers had gotten a truck too small (despite my assurance that the move was big and would require a larger truck... it was a Budget Truck rental). This caused the movers to do two trips instead of one, and I had to pay for this. On top of that, the crew was extremely unprofessional. From asking for beer, to arguing with me about placement of boxes, to EVEN ASKING ME FOR DRUGS ? cocaine and weed ? this was hands down an experience that even I couldn't make up. I thought that I was on a TV show.
The crew refused to move certain items because they would glance and say, 'no way that'll fit'. I ended up MOVING IT MYSELF with a friend and IT DID FIT. The team was tired, was not interested in being professional or kind.
At one point, one of the team members got into a cussing and shouting match with me telling me 'it wasn't his f****** job to move my dresser where I want it'. Unbelievable. To top this all off, they demanded a tip upon leaving. My girlfriend and I did the best job we could to be prepared and courteous and offered coffee and water to the crew throughout the day. We attempted casual conversation to be helpful and friendly.
This move was a nightmare. The sort of nightmare that makes you hate moving in New York so bad. It's the sort of experience that is what moving horror stories are made of. This has to be the worst company I have ever done business with ? not just in moving ? but in my entire life. 
Good riddance. I will testify and tell you details about this move up to my eyeballs. All of this is true, from requesting drugs to refusing to move things.
Side note: there was a member of the team who did not partake in any of the above actions and was actually positive, friendly, and courteous. His name is Junior and I appreciated his efforts to be calm, cool, and professional.

The actual movers were extremely friendly and hardworking BUT be very careful of the charges! We were initially quoted $1300 for the entire move. Then all of the sudden when they got there it went up to 3500! We were moving out of a small one bedroom. We did not have a lot of stuff. One of the movers was able to get our price down to $1350 and told us that would be the complete payment. We we're very thankful and tipped them about $400. Then 2 days before our stuff arrived they told us that we owed them another 1350! They said we misunderstood what the movers told us! My husband and I both heard the same thing! There was no misunderstanding! Besides the sneakiness of their charges they are not punctual at all! The day of our move the guys showed up at 9 am but the truck didn't show up until around 4! The day of delivery our movers were supposed to be here between 3 and 6. They didn't show up until 7:30. JUST BEWARE!

Let me explain; original price was $1,300.00 yes this is correct due to the fact that it was based on the list of items you told you will be moving. The day before the move you called our office and provided new list of items which was over twice as big, in simple words you add items you was planning to move. We right away informed you that based on your new list the price will go up to $3600.00, we were not making this a secret , we informed you that if you wish to move all additional items you will pay more. It is as simple as when you go to your local supermarket and asking the price for milk and bread...and then when you are ready to pay, you adding additional items to your cart-it will cost more. The very next day when movers were at your house to pick up your goods, we recalculate everything and informed you that price will be actually lower. We dropped the total amount from $3600.00 to $3400.00 -it was not a secret . Furthermore you didn't mentioned that one of your $100.00 bills, which you used as a payment, was fake Please understand that honesty and being upfront with our clients it's the most important for us. That's why we have so many repeat clients and clients from referrals. The last think we want to do is mislead our clients. We want to wish you all the best in new home. I had two broken table lamps, My grandfather clock no longer works and we are missing a painting as well.

Grandfather clock ( Howard and Miller) cost between $700. to $1,200 to fix. Request $900. compensation.

Oil on canvas painting 3 feet by 2 feet. Request $300. compensation.

It didn't go well. Unfortunately, they broke some of my furniture. It was a curio with a glass and mirror that cost me more than I paid for the move. I voiced my concerns beforehand about that piece of furniture and the foreman told them to be sure to use all 4 guys to move it. However, one guy tried to move it on his own. The boss yelled at him after he broke it and he spent the rest of the afternoon in the truck. I am very unhappy with them. Since they broke my furniture, I have not heard a word from them. I've tried to contact them, but they don't want to be bothered with my anymore.

"Based on our contract/agreement and rules of industry, client and mover are bonded by certain regulations. Mover cannot charge client more than contract allows and client cannot expect to receive more refund for any potential damages than the contract specifies. As per industry regulations, client is entitled to 30 cents per lb in case something is damaged. In this particular case, broken glass weighed just a few lbs so the client is entitled to a few dollars of reimbursement. We acknowledge that this is not a lot and instead of few dollars which client is entitled to, we would like to offer $100 check as a courtesy."

Very well. Hardworking. Due to extenuating circumstances their arrival time was delayed, however when they arrived they were reading to work immediately. They arrived at 10:36 PM and finished at 2:36 AM. I booked them last minute and they had the work done withing 24 hours.They helped pack my remaining items when I had lost the strength and will to pack anymore. They helped complete the job and relieve our family's stress.

The service provider that I was working with stated that I wasn't expressing myself right as to what I wanted done. They quoted me a bunch of extra charges that were not stated in Angies List I was not willing to pay, so I decided not to use the provider.

"I just get of the phone with [removed member name], wow the review is really scary! This kind of reviews are the last think we would like to see! But as per my conversation with [removed member name] just few seconds ago the movers were working hard and were professional-except for one guy who was a good worker as per [removed member name] but complained that he was tired....I will get to the bottom of this, I don't want guys like this to work for me...if he was tired he could of take day off...not make our client [removed member name] upset! In regards to the tape, we NEVER CHARGE ADDITIONAL FOR TAPE! So this was just a confusion, client felt like someone is trying to take an advantage of him...but this is not the case...maybe clients tape was different quality, maybe movers just tried to safe clients money by using ours not client's tape. ones again we never charge additional for tape. Everything went well and I am very pleased. The destination is outside of their typical service area and accessible only by secondary roads with a commercial vehicle. Knowing that there would be a lot of travel time Homitch gave me a good deal. The men he sent were reliable and professional and clearly knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend Prime Meridian.

They were very efficient and considerate of my things. They wrapped my bed and sofa and chairs to prevent them from being scuffed. You have to follow them however so that small things did not get left but all in all the were professional, fast and did their job. Would definitely hire again.

EXCELLENT HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Prior to my move I had several correspondence with Homitch, I believe he's the company owner, to confirm all the details of my move. On the day of the move, the movers arrived earlier than scheduled which was nice, it gave us time to go over what was expected from the move and complete all necessary paperwork- I had paid for 3 movers and a truck which is exactly what I received.  They were very professional and prompt moving things as quickly but safely as possible, wrapping things thoroughly to ensure a quality move. I moved into a basement apartment which was a difficult move, they were able to get everything down w the exception of my big couch, as it was unclear if it could be disassembled. The following day after the move I was able to figure out how to disassemble it, I contacted Homitch who said he would have his men come back again to disassemble the couch move it to the basement and then reassemble it- at NO extra cost!  His men did exactly that the following day. Everything was exceptional and was an amazing experience. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for movers, professional and everything you'd expect and want from a moving company! A+++++
