Delta Moving Services Ltd

Mover sub contracted move. Actual mover arrived 4 days late with minimal packing materials. Most boxes were used and fell apart during the move. Goods were sent to New York and were placed in storage. Mover attempted to collect cost of mileage from Cordova, TN to New York and then to Guyton, GA. Also, did not honor binding estimate by attaching $546 more of packing charges. Negotiated paying the additional packing charges but the the additional mileage. Goods were delivered 34 days later by a third carrier. Delivery was at 9:30 P.M. in the dark. Many of the household items were damaged or missing. Delta Moving uses a third party claim company to manage their claims. Filed a claim with pictures, description of damage, etc. Made 14 attempts to talk to claims company about claim. Put on hold, will call back, will send e-mail, etc. however; no resolution.

This compnay lied about everything from start to finish. 1. They said they would pick up the furniture on Saturday and deliver it the next day. As of today (Tuesday) it has still not been delivered. 2. They gave me a "not to exceed price" and then would not deliver the furniture until I agreed to a price that was $379.00 higher than that original written estimate. 3. The salesman, Eddie Cullen, claimed that this was his family business located in PA. In fact, it is NOT his business, and it is located in the Bronx, NY.

Terrible. They arrived six hours late, claiming that they hit unusually bad traffic. They delivered my things a full day late, which required me to pay an additional fee to the building I was moving into. They broke a chair, and were unprofessional in every way imaginable.
