Archetypal Imaginary did great work. They worked efficiently and were professional. They were courteous and honest. Everything they said they would do they did.

Arthur heads this company's remodeling business. He is a true professional, a visionary craftsman, extremely responsive, and a trustworthy person. The work was done in my Manhattan-NYC condo, which had a small kitchen with virtually no counterspace. Arthur was the 10th contractor I interviewed. After speaking with him for a short while, I felt very comfortable in placing my trust in him to successfully transform my kitchen. I wanted a sleek, modern, highly-functional kitchen with upscale appliances that would fit with my pre-war condo. The original kitchen was very poorly designed and cramped, with the refrigerator blocking access to the limited counterspace. Most of the other contractors I interviewed suggested major reconfigurations of the kitchen that would require shifting around the sink and plumbing, and possibly using an undercabinet refrigerator or, worse yet, putting the refrigerator in the living room, which would have been very awkward. Arthur's solution was the best -- install an 18" tall & thin refrigerator, which I had no idea existed. That provided enough space to avoid relocating the sink plumbing. He also had the right vision for the rest of the kitchen. At one point in the interview, I felt positive that he was the right person for the job. Aside from his trustworthiness, the most important factor to me was that I felt confident that I could rely on Arthur's judgment and experience to give the kitchen the right "look" and quality. After that, the entire process went smoothly. There were no major surprises. Arthur did an outstanding job of staying in communication with me. He always had a solution to any glitches that we encountered. Throughout the whole process, he made sure I was happy. His workers are extremely hard working, diligent, and dutiful. Towards the end of the job, I decided to use Archetypal to resand/refinish my wood floors. The results were amazing -- it truly elevated the apartment to another level of luxury. The finished kitchen was a total success. Everything came together perfectly, every detail was taken care of. The kitchen is highly functional and looks outstanding. Everyone that has seen it (and there have been over 30) has complimented it. Finding a good contractor in New York City is as difficult as it sounds. Arthur is the best at what he does, and I recommend him without any hesitation.

The total process was great. From meeting Avedis and Vartan to working with them to design the room I wanted. The product was ordered and delivered on time. The installers showed up on time and worked professionally and amazingly clean. The installation went well and then it was the refinishing crew that completed the job. The stains were applied until the exact colors that we selected for our designs were achieved. The final finishing coats were applied and it looks fantastic.
