Very good, family business. 4 generation family. Grandfather is very knowledgeable. He is a roof gru.

Called and made an appointment for August 10th at 10:00 AM. They never showed up for the appointment and never called to say that they got busy and missed appointment. When I called to make another appointment. He said that he got busy working and must have forgotten the appointment. I made a second appointment with him. This time, he said that he would call the day before and leave a voice mail message confirming appointment. Never received the voice mail and never showed up for the appointment. At this point, I want my money back from this company. It is not the cost that matters but the principal of it. You just take people's money with no regard to them.

SCAM. BUYER BEWARE. Again and again they promised and failed to send the proposal. We needed to be out of town for the work to be done (only one entrance to our house), so the JUNE 5TH date was very important. We boarded our cats that week (one needs diabetes shots) instead of getting a sitter, which cost us hundreds of dollars. It became clear that they were going to just try to show up on the day they THOUGHT we were leaving town, without sending us a proposal in advance, strong-arming us in this way. We were gone already, though. The son said he would send me the proposal. i said if it looked okay, I would pay him upon our return. Needless to say, we haven't heard from them since, and no proposal was ever sent. We lost hundreds of dollars boarding the cats for work that was never performed and will likely have to spend this boarding money for the cats again, when we find a new company for the work (Researching Angie's list for reputable company now).

He informed me its in great condition, no work needed.

They were very prompt, & well organized. They took pictures during the inspection of all the issues we had and addressed them all. We had to call them back for a touch up a month later and they were very responsive and quickly came back for a fix.

I was pleased with the information received regarding the condition of the roof and recommendations for brick maintenance and repair. They also set several nails that had popped under the roof shingles. Mr. Stewart seemed very competent and knowledgeable regarding roofing and masonry.

A Stewart Roofing did a great job. They were friendly, professional, efficient and hard working. Alex and his team are extremely knowledgeable and explained the issues and the solutions in detail before we went forward with the project. Thanks so much for your great work!

The maintenance package did not include the flat portion of the roof.

They called in advance of the day to confirm. They called the day of appointment to confirm the time. They listened attentively and went right to work. They did some extra items because that's what they thought was needed to keep my home safe and dry (and did not charge). Love it that they are a father/son business - they share the same work ethics and are unfailingly courteous.

He definitely overpriced the job at $6100 to go over the roof, NOT TO STRIP IT! [Name removed] did the job for $3000. A savings of more than half! Don not use this company!!!

A Stewart Roofing and Waterproofing did a fantastic job! They added a second layer of shingles (GAF Lifetime Timberline Natural Shadow Pewter Gray - although they suggested I go with the lightest color to save on air conditioning, in the end we decided to go with a neutral color), waterproofed around my chimney and gutters, added extra layers where the shingles were badly corroded/damaged due to age on the heavy weather side of my house, installed copper gutters, capped both ends, put in the top quality gutter guards and gave me new fascia boards (protected wood planks covered with aluminum). The work was done quickly and as scheduled, they even cleaned up after and dealt with a brief freak out on my end. I did get several other quotes, everyone was in the same ballpark, but they did not find any new problems or add any additional fees to the job. The whole thing looks amazing, the charm of the house has been enhanced, and I am so glad I trusted them with this job - I am really proud of how everything looks on my house. Thank you guys!!!

Alex was punctual. He went to great lengths to explain the parameters of the work and his methods for performing it. His cost compared to other contractors was a bargain. Most importantly all of the work was performed in a timely manner with an obviously high level of workmanship. I could not recommend Alex more.

They were seemingly responsible. I thought they did a fair assessment of their roof. I found nothing wrong with them.

The whole experience was very pleasant. I bought the deal and contacted the provider to schedule the inspection right away. The provider was responsive, came out to the scene very quickly and conducted the inspection quickly.

They totally wasted my time and stole my $99. They should rated F by Angies's List. They would not even quote the work. Apparently they saw that they could not fool me and they left.

The cost was based on an Angie's List big deal for a roof maintenance package, including a roof inspection, minor roof repairs, other general maintenance, and a check for interior leaks. Mr. Stewart arrived on time but without any apparent intention of making repairs or doing maintenance. He changed the subject every time we mentioned the need to inspect for interior leaks. During his inspection, Mr. Stewart damaged areas of the roof as he demonstrated that they needed repair. He seemed only interested in proposing a construction contract. Alex Stewart Jr. telephoned us a couple of days later to see if we wanted to agree to one of their proposals. When we asked him to do some roof maintenance before a major storm which was forecast for the next day, he refused to do so until after the storm, so we had to rely on our super to make necessary repairs.

So he came out in 2013 and fixed my roof, gave me a five year warranty on it at the time. Now, it has begun to sprout leaks and he is not contacting me back to fix the roof.

Everything was fine. They checked for cracks. He put a new coat of silver sealant paint on and patched up cracks. They took pictures afterwards to show us. Their pricing was very good.

It was difficult to schedule an appointment. They showed up and gave us an estimate on a coating. I wasn't at home when they came, but showed up as they were leaving. I had them go back up and do the spot repairs ? that was a little disconcerting. They said that if they came back to do the coating, it'd be $1,500, but if they did the coating now, they'd take $1,250. I feel like we paid $99 just for the estimate and that if I hadn't showed up just in time, they wouldn't have done the spot repairs as part of the deal. It took them under an hour to do the spot repairs. The son did the spot repair and the father waited in the truck (parking in our neighborhood is an issue). They were nice, friendly, and knowledgeable people but I don?t think they realized that the spot repairs were part of the deal we paid for. They explained things very thoroughly. Update: We had them come back and do the jog they had recommended a year ago. They were prompt, clean, courteous and very thorough. The carefully documented all of the work they had done and explained things very thoroughly. Nice people. Excellent work. Highly recommend.

Spoke to Alex at least twice the day before he was to come by and he just never showed up. Did not call, did not reschedule. He sounded like he knew his work but I guess I will never find out for sure. I won't call again.

They were responsive and professional. Patched a few small cracks. Gave me detailed info about further options for additional work.
