VanDervort Tree Service is a full service tree care company serving Monroe, Orleans, Genesee and Livingston Counties in Western New York. We staff ISA Certified Arborists, Tree Care Safety Professionals and all staff are trained through the Tree Care Industry Association's Tree Care Academy. We maintain a fleet of equipment including a 60 foot aerial truck, grapple loaders, mini skid steer, multiple chippers and stump grinders as well as all necessary climbing gear. We provide free estimates and hazard tree asessments and the only sub-contracting we utilize is for crane operation. Invoices are delivered at the time of completion of service, with typical billing required within 30 days.

The owner was on vacation as he was getting married and perhaps that is why we had a communication breakdown.
First thing the work was done in stages and after the first stage I gave a payment of $100 to the worker .
The second stage included cutting the beloved branch that held my daughters swing . It was discussed with her and she agreed. The worker offered to put a swing up on a higher branch for us, which was very nice. After it was done, my daughter was devasted and cried for days. It may sound trivial, but her swing was a place she covets and a place she goes for respite from the world. I call it her yoga. :) I was desperate to correct the situation! The difference was that the swing was wrapped and not screwed in. I called to ask for them to return and make the change - but they never came. I called and explained to the owner that it may sound silly but it's very important to her. He said they would come but they didn't. I was willing to pay for the extra service! Well, months passed without communication and then they finally sent a bill in February......and this service was done in July! Worse, the bill did not reflect the $100 payment, and of course they never corrected the swing situation either. Needless to say that bill went to the bottom of the pile until the owner corrected this issue. The owner called once in the Fall but I could not talk as I was at the check out- I asked him to call back and he never did.
During my call to Vandervort twice it was clear they leafed through papers forever before once finding my information, and once not finding my information. Like the comment above, they seem to be terribly disorganized and not dependable.
Update 24 May 2013: This customer is absolutely NOT confusing your lack of service with another business; a wholly impossible feat since I've the email to prove it. Furthermore it's amazing that you've "no record of any requests for service", since you just had the gall to send me a LinkedIn invite. The only way you could do so was if my email address was in your contact list. Next time you allow LinkedIn to search your email address contacts and send out automated 'connect requests' to everyone listed, it's recommended you ensure they actually can recommend you. My original review stands, however I've now reduced your grades for responsiveness and professionalism. I hate dishonesty!
