Rick was great to work with. He came over and showed us samples of different roofing products we could select from. He had a clever workbook that gave us a cost for each option almost instantaneously. It was very easy for us to make an informed decision. What I really like about Rick is he is the guy that does the actual work. He is up on the roof with his crew making sure the work is done properly. His crew were professional and friendly. They were very knowledgable about the product they installed. Weather was a challenge as with a metal roof you can not work on it in the rain, but they were persistent and go it done. Once they started on our project they continued with it and didn't leave to go to another project.

Rick was prompt and courteous throughout the entire job with excellent communication. The roof looks GREAT!

Everything went smooth even though the shipment of the roofing materials was missing one item.  The contractor went to a building supply and got the part and completely finished the roof as stated and in the amount of time he said it would take.  I'm very happy.

Rick and crew did outstanding job. Emailed quote later in day, and called on Monday to say he would do job on Tuesday because rain was in forecast later in week. Started job at 7:30 a.m. and was finished by 2:00. Kept us apprised of issues he had uncovered and would fix from poor job done by other contractor. He and Nigel were great keeping our landscaping and property clean and free from debris.

Rick did a Great job. The transaction was effortless. He showed up to look at the job and was able to give me an estimate immediately. The price was great and he had the roof installed within a week.

I called several roofers because we kept having leak problems in out family room.
Rick was very thorough in telling me what he would do in the time allotted.
He did the job and it looks great, both the shingled area and the metal top to the chimney.

Rick made the flip a piece of cake.  He had the experience and the patience to make it a wonderful experience.  The only regret i have is that I have not found another opportunity to bring Rick back.   It was a very ENJOYABLE experience!

Rick and his crew were exceptional in the installation. The product that he uses is also exceptional (50 year warranty) Decra stone-coated steel. The roof was done in 2015. During a porch remodel 2016 by an different contractor (Rick was not available, unfortunately) the porch roof was dislodged and Rick came right away to take care of it. Rick is thorough in his explanations and there were never any surprises. I have recommended to friends.

Rick was very professional. Overall my roof looks good and I am happy with the final product. He gave me plenty of references and went above and beyond to show me what the roof would look like on my house. He had some materials and placed them on the roof so I could get a better idea.

At first I wasn't happy with the way it looked and he made an adjustment and made it look better. It was really rugged looking in the valleys and on the edges where the roof crimped over the edges. I wanted a cleaner look.

Only one small complaint was there were metal shards all over my driveway and in my yard. I wished it was cleaned up a little better before I got home and pulled into the driveway.

We have worked with Rick,  the owner of Repair N Remodel, in the past and were well aware of his roofing work for various local organizations and individuals.

We had a chronic leak in our aging roof (done by different contractor) and our gutters were shot..  He came over and presented us with various options for a new steel roof for our historic 1840's home. He also suggested several price options within the quality level we wanted--no pressure to select the most expensive line. 

We opted for 50 year steel shingles that complemented our historic house. Given the size of our roof and the length of our gutters, we felt that his pricing was quite good. In fact it was below our expectations.

As we were experiencing a period of severe rainfall at the time, he installed a temporary fix to prevent further damage while the steel shingles were being fabricated and delivered. When the shingles arrived he and his crew were very efficient in fabricating, installing and testing the gutters and then installing the new roof, vents, etc.  He was good at explaining the procedures and took photos of the job for us. We also observed how he trained newer members of his crew and the patient support he provided them. Repair N Remodel gets our vote for a professional roofing job.

All seemed to go pretty well at the time of replacement. However, the following summer we started to have some leaks around one of our dormers. I called Rick Davis and he came out and "fixed" it. Well it appeared to be OK. I say appeared because we no longer saw any evidence (wet dry wall) inside the house. About a year and a half later, we started to get wet walls again in the same place around the same dormer. I called Rick again and he came out to "fix" it. Again, it appeared to be OK. However just 3 months ago, we started to get really bad leaks in the exact same spot as before. This time it was leaking really bad. I pulled down the plaster and lathe around the affected wall to find it obviously wet with some mold. Because of the mold and a couple rotted lather boards, I believe this leak has bee going on for a long time. The two "fixes" probably only slowed it down so it wasn't obviously noticeable when in fact in continued to leak for years now. I've had 3 different roofers and one home inspector out and all of them said the roof was not properly installed. They all found evidence of poor workmanship. The list of problems are long but here are a few: left old rusted flashing in place, ridge vent improperly installed, excessive nail head exposure, wrong drip rail installed, didn't flash the chimney. Based on the home inspector's report I am considering filing a suit against Repair N Remodel for damages. However, if it means I have to offer him to fix it I will not. I do not want the person repairing a thing at my house ever again.
