I contacted Radon Mitigation with a question about they level check on my system that was installed by another contractor sho is out of business. I sopke to Nick who contacted me almost immediately and resolved my issue over the phone even though I was not a customer of his. He could have easily required a costly service call but was able to determine that the problem was simply that the tube monitor had dropped slightly and was giving an incorrect reading-resolved by simply pushing the tube back in place. In a time where customer service can leave much to be desired, Nick andRadon Mitigation went above and beyond. I would certainly contact them for any future service if required.

If possible, I would give Nick Mouganis of Mitigation Tech an even higher rating than allowed in this survey. I have dealt with a host of contractors over the past 4 decades in servicing my home and 2 rental properties. Over the years, I' ve dealt inevitably with the good, the bad, and ugly. I've seen it all. Well, almost all. Nick Mouganis and his Mitigation Tech are in a class of their own. They raise the professionalism bar to new heights. Nick called me back the day after I left a detailed message and scheduled a visit to the property the very next day. He was very informative about the work that needed to be done to redress the problem. And just a few days later I received a very detailed proposal describing the work, materials, guarantee, and cost. Frankly, I was very surprised at how affordable Mitigation Tech's system was ($1095) given the intricate nature of the work, materials, and the considerable amount of time required to install and check the operation of such a system. And I was delighted to learn that when all was said and done, there were no additional costs that surfaced. Moreover, I was very impressed that this work (including the exterior component) was completed within a very short period of time - less than 2 weeks - despite protracted severe weather, including torrential rains. In short, Nick Mouganis and Mitigation Tech are true professionals in every sense of the word. Your best bet if you're in New York State.

Checked out several service providers using Angie's, BBB & BCB . Found that some were less than desirable due to reports from mentioned sources. Got 2 recommendations from broker. Contacted both and Nick was only one to respond. Gave him some basic information from inspection report and square footage of town house and he gave me a ball park estimate. We met on site to review the project. Nick was very friendly, professional and informative. His quote was very similar to ball park estimate. Technician arrived at scheduled time and spent about 10hrs to complete work. Outside work was done in sub freezing temps and he had to wade through two feet of snow to install ducting. Work was done very neatly inside and out. Tech even had to make a custom cover for sump crock due to back up pump syste. Post install testing showed the mitigation reduced radon levels to below minimum levels required. Highly recommend Nick & his crew

After contacting two other companies unsuccessfully, I called Mitigation Tech and they came out the same day to meet with me. The owner was very professional and thorough and assured me that the system would do the job. As promised, a well-written and detailed contract for my approval came that day and the work was done as scheduled. The guy who did the work was thorough, neat and polite. Best of all, the test that was done after the system was installed came back with radon levels that were 0.2! Not bad since 3 earlier tests put the levels at between 11 and 17. I am amazed and thoroughly satisfied.

Replaced the fan motor for the radon mitigation system. Good job and reasonably priced.

i was called approximately one hour before to say that the tech would arrive on time. the work was done is an orderly fashion. a hole was drilled in my basement floor and a pipe was put in from the floor to the wall above and guided in to the garage. that pipe was extended up through the roof in the garage. a new outlet was put in the rafters so the fan could function. the whole procedure took 6 hours and the tech cleaned up all the debris and left my basement and garage as if he wasn't here. a job well done...

Got an estimate on Nov 3 from several companies, came by day of call within hours. Mitigation tech came in the lowest price, but same work and most recommended- 3 sources, Angie's list, NY state list and builder who used for their radon mitigation. Followed up several times to make sure we were good on date. Workers came on time, did work as advertised, kept me informed as to what they were doing, owner came by to check on work, and finished early.

Estimate was very clear for a $1100 job. Crew arrived on time, got to work and when I arrived home they had locked up. Neat job.

The company was easy to communicate with and was very prompt with giving us an estimate. Then we were able to schedule work the following week. The crew was professional, responsive, and very neat. They explained everything they did and the work was completed in less time than estimated.
