Canopy Roofing is one of the worst contractors I have ever experienced. While working on the roof and siding, they caused extensive internal damage to my property including punching through Freon line and damaging the air conditioning system, punching holes through the ceiling, and cracking the shower. This contractor takes no responsibility and liability for any of the damages because he blames it on poor building construction. However a skilled contractor would at least inspect the property beforehand and note any potential concerns. The worst part was that the new roof actually started leaking less than a month after they put it on. The leak was significant, the water was coming down through our entire family room/living room. They rushed so much through the project to "stay on timeline" that they were completely negligent in the quality of work they have performed. The owner never bothered to check on any issues. He clearly does not care about the customer or the quality work. I am only posting this because I would not wish anyone to have the same experience.

Highly efficient, responsible and professional. Crew of three to four people w/supervisor worked one full day and about two half-days following rainstorm. Two ladders + small scaffold required.

They were great. They brought enough people out to get the job done correctly. They also clean up after themselves on a daily basis and when they were finished with the project.

Until I was made aware of Canopy Roofing, like many others I approached roofing as any other home contracting and based my selection on estimated prices from several, assuming all had similar expertise. In hindsight, this was a mistake.

As expertise only comes with experience, a roofing specialist offers much advantage. I have seen this difference in using Canopy, a long established Westchester Roofing Specialist firm. Their estimates include a full series of pictures of the existing roof and suggested repairs. No advance deposits, payments only upon starting, finishing, and a retainer for 30 days after completion. (They are obviously confident in their work.)
-
Canopy's crews worked like clockwork, as roofing is all they do. Scaffolding was erected without damage to walls or shrubs, and the site was well cleaned up each day. In all respects, a truly organized installation. (They even brought a porta-potty to the site.)
-
One foreman and one office manager are assigned to each job, and daily pictures document the progress, problems and repairs made, e-mailed to the homeowner and documented on CD upon job completion. I much appreciated this insight and record.
-
Canopy may have cost a bit more than the smaller firms I have used, but their efficient installation and service more than offset the difference. They started and finished exactly on the estimated dates, and there were no surprises or delays.
-
I couldn't be more pleased with the finished job, and much recommend Canopy to anyone who wants to see things done right the first time, and without problems.

In November, 2006 ,I noticed that various parts of the chimney were rotting. Upon removal of several boards I observed that the underlying framing was severely damaged and apparently had never been repaired. I called Canopy. In response Canopy sent Mr. Ed Spinnelli, V.P. of Operations to my home. Mr. Spinnelli documented the situation and agreed with me that the damage to the chimney was significant and appeared to precede the date of the Canopy contract. I talked with Mr. Michael Meyer, the owner of Canopy, who advised me that he would not be willing to perform any further repairs or in any other way honor their contract or guarantee. I believe that the cost to repair my chimney is between $3,000 and $5,000. Now my roof is leaking into the house. Cost to repair the roof is unknown.
