WHITAKER OVERHEAD DOORS

Whitaker is a family owned business that has been in the Yorktown area for years. They are the only ones I would use to service my equipment.

We have used them for 30 years. They did a great job. They freed up the motor. They didn't try to replace it. They're prompt. They call ahead if there are any issues. They have been excellent for as long as we've used them.

They are excellent. This is a family business that has gone from Grandfather to Grandson. Our architect had used them for her mother's house. They did a great job. They came in and knew their business. We have had no problems with it. 

They were respectful, honest and funny. They were lovely.

2 weeks after the hinge broke and we were unable to use the garage doors, we had new doors and openers installed and we are so happy with the results. The guy worked for many hours installing the doors and openers and then showed us how to operated and maintain them. We feel that these doors are much prettier than what we had, the openers are much safer which was a concern to us since we have a young child, and they doors provide a much better seal so it will keep the garage better insulated than it was.

All went well. Came on time and stayed late to make sure everything was done to my liking. Motor and door looks and operates great. If I need service or new materials, they will be my first call.

Technician arrived on time, promptly diagnosed the problem, explained it and gave me an estimate. He completed the work and the door is working better than ever. I would use again.

Quality wise they are very good. For service I kind of had to chase them down. I had asked them to do a sidejob but it was really hard to get in touch with them. Once they did the job for us which they did a very good job, they were done. We weren't able to get in touch with them after they did that. The door is beautiful, it matches our old house very well. If we are talking about garage doors, they are great. The wife runs the office, she is not the most responsive person, although they are very nice to deal with. They did a very good job.

We were having difficulty finding a company that could replace our garage door in a hurry. We contacted Whitaker's on a Saturday, they did a site visit on Monday, and the new door was installed on Wednesday. We bought a better quality door than available for the same price at a national 'box' store. The installation went smoothly - the crew arrived on time, the workmanship was terrific, and the area was left spotlessly clean. All and all, a great experience and I recommend them highly.

I ran to Angie's list to find a reputable dealer to come and look at it so I called Whittaker Overhead Doors to come and see what the problem was. I called in the morning and was pleasantly surprised when he said he could come that afternoon to see what the problem was. He checked it out thoroughly and discovered that all the rollers on my door needed replacing since the rubber wasn't catching like it should when opening and closing. Also oiled the chains, etc. Works like a charm now - he replaced all the rubber wheels with new nylon wheels and the door now runs perfectly and is so much quieter than before. It's like having a brand new door. Prompt response. Thank you Whittaker for a job well done!

They were prompt, curteous and the price seemed fair.

Great, I called them at 1pm and told them the problem. The receptionist said they would be there between 3 and 5. THey arrived around 3:30 and were done in about 30 min. Fair price, and they made sure the door opened and closed without sticking before they left.

They came when they said they would for the estimate and then to do the work. They finished promptly and neatly, removing the old doors, and the quality of the work was excellent. No extra/unexpected charges. Overall, an excellent experience.

Maintenance went extremely well. This is the second time we used the company. Very knowledgeable and professional. Efficient service and made all the necessary adjustments.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out this company does not try and overcharge you or tell you things are wrong when they are not. They are polite. They charge very reasonable prices for the work they do. They work hard while on the job and they communicate pretty effectively from what I could tell. I was really happy with them.

WE WERE VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH WHITAKER OVERHEAD DOORS. WE THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE TO INVEST IN AN EXPENSIVE NEW DOOR, BUT WHITAKERS WORKED VERY HARD TO SAVE IT AND MAKE IT SAFER.

WHITAKER OVERHEAD DOORS WORKERS WERE SO INFORMATIVE. THEY REPAIRED OUR DOORS THAT WOULD GET STUCK GOING UP AND DOWN AND THEY POINTED OUT SOME SAFTEY HAZARDS WE HAD. THEY INSTALLED A SENSOR ON EACH DOOR TO ENSURE THAT THEY WOULD STOP CLOSING IF A PERSON OR ANIMAL WERE UNDERNEATH IT. THEY ALSO ADDED A RUBBER STRIP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR TO KEEP IN THE HEAT AND KEEP OUT SMALL ANIMALS. I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY.
