 + -1 moreJeff was very polite - called to let me know he was running a little late. He got here, looked at the problem and was able to correct the issue very quickly - turned out to be a switch that got turned off. Took about 5 minutes. He did not charge me for the call and was really nice about it. I would certainly call him again for any future problems or issues and would also definitely recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Had a problem with my laptop internet connection. Jeff came out the day after I called. He was able to identify the issue very quickly and correct it.

 + -1 moreWent well. He came to my residense within a few hours after my calling him, and diagnosed the problem. He took my computer with him and returned 24 hours later with all repairs done. Note that he could have returned the computer sooner, but my schedule did not permit it. Cost of service above includes parts.
Description of Work: My computer would not boot. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the power supply.

 + -1 moreEverything went as good as it could have gone The machine was fixed within the time frame and cost promised. I am very happy and pleased with the work and I. Would not hesitate for a moment to use Tech911 again. Jeff not only knows what he is doing, but is very reliable and dependable, which is a rare quality in this day and age.
Description of Work: Computer was placed into system recovery mode by me. Many programs and files were lost. Service pack 3 and updates would not load and online help could not solve the problem. Came across Tech 911 on Angie's list and thought I would give them a try. After calling on a Sunday and speaking with Jeff the owner, he came right out and picked up the machine on that very afternoon. Since the computer was 8 years old and running xp we decided to limit the time and the cost that we would devote to this project. Jeff came back 2 days later and did everything I asked, loading Service pack3 and all the updates I needed to fix the problem. He also added some programs to make the computer run faster and more efficiently. And, I know he spent more time on the fix than he charged me for.

 + -1 moreI appreciated Jeff starting to think about how to solve my problem before he was due to arrive on Monday. By taking this initiative, he was able to save me some time and allowed me to be up and running much quicker than I anticipated. Jeff seemed very knowledgeable, was friendly and courteous. I would definitely call him again.
Description of Work: Jeff responded to my Sunday call same day. We discussed the problem with my desktop (intermittent power outages caused my PC to crash) and he agreed to stop by next day to trouble shoot it. The problem seemed pretty severe as I could not launch Excel or Word and also could not access the internet. He solved the problem same day over the phone by calling me a couple hours after our initial discussion and walking me through a series of commands to run a special scan that he said would take some time to run and that he wanted to have it run prior to his arrival to save us both time. He said it might solve the problem but we would need to wait and see what the scan discovered. It worked!

 + -1 moreI scheduled an appt. Jeff came and fixed one computer and took the laptop home to work on the other one. He came back a day later to deliver the repaired laptop. The price was very fair and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Tech911

Description of Work: My Wireless printer was disconnected by Comcast when they replaced my router. Jeff reconnected it, cheerfully and very competently. Jeff's fee was very reasonable, and my problem was fixed quickly, and with little stress.

 + -1 moreJeff was wonderful, I had to give him all "A" grades in my review. I am somewhat computer-savvy but just could not get viruses off my business's workstations. (This is a small business with 5 computers and no IR department.) I spent hours trying to get these computers working and then finally called Tech911. Jeff got both computers cleared of viruses and working properly again. I didn't think it was possible but he got it done. He also has done other general computer and network troubleshooting for us. I am so happy that we have him for any computer projects, network expansion, or troubleshooting we may need in the future.
Description of Work: Nasty virus removal and general troubleshooting on 2 different workstations at my business.
