Glenn is meticulous, reliable, professional, courteous, and completely versatile. The range of things he knows how to do - and do well - is astonishing. He always cleans up completely so you can't guess any work was done. Worth every penny.

Hired to clean and paint deck. Glenn was extremely punctual. He has great communication via phone or email. He worked very well with us to create a custom color for our deck stain. The quality of work was perfect and he was very professional. I would definitely hire him again and recommend Glenn and Phase One Construction for all your contracting needs.

My husband received the call and he stated it would cost $400 to have our entire exterior of our home power washed. My husband stated the out of the three calls he seemed the most pleasant and had good work ethics. I then called and asked questions: Could you come and give an estimate, how many people will come on the day and if we paid cash could the price be a little lower. Glen stated that it would cost $400 and no estimate is needed, he and another person would come to the house to power wash and it would take about 4 - 5 hours. After the job was done Glen, the owner advised my husband it is now $500 since he took longer!!! My husband called me and I was really upset and asked to speak to GLEN the owner. He now is telling me he told me it would be $400 to $500 on the phone which is a lie! My friend happened to be at my house at the time and had the call on speaker. After the call she stated to me.....see how your house is and we will have him come our house to have our home power washed. Now he lost myself, my friend and two others in our community because of his wrong and unsavory way of doing business with price quote. He needs to be above board and when a customer requests an 'estimate' it's only protection for contractor and customer. Since he was lax and decided at the end of the job to charge $100 more... I did tell Glen, the owner I would never recommend him and will give feedback to the NEGATIVE since he was not honest. Sad but true.

"This review by [Member Name Removed] is false from beginning to end. I have been in business for over 35 years now and I have never ever received a review like this or an attack to my professionalism. I was very clear as a bell when I told frank and [Member Name Removed] that the estimate for the power washing of the siding would be $ 450-$500 and I told them if it needs extra muscle it would be more around $500 dollars. This power washing took over 8 hrs of our time and equipment and fuel in our equipment. This job was estimated to be around 4 hours to complete as stated to them. The house was neglected for to long and the mold & mildew was hard to remove from siding. They obviously confused my estimate from the 5 other estimates they received from other contractors. This is a primary example that if we get multiple estimates from different Contractors we should write them down. I usually send a written estimate by e mail but after talking with both of them, frank one day and [Member Name Removed] another it was suffice. In closing I would like to say to all that read this is that please don'[Member Information Removed] believe everything you read today , It may be Fake news.& this review certainly is."

Glenn responded immediately to my email/call, and we discussed needed repairs to my mother's house. I live in another state, so we set-up an appointment for him to meet with her a few days later. He arrived at the agreed time and inspected the house for the issues that needed to be addressed. He did not attempt to turn it into a bigger job than we really needed and had budgeted. We discussed the situation and requirements by phone/email, he provided a written estimate promptly, and was flexible on a few adjustments in the contract.
Work was finished on time/budget and the quality of the work was good. Price wasn't exactly cheap, but it seems reasonable and was at about the mid-point for the estimates we got.
My one issue arose when I went into the garage on a recent visit to find that he had left all the old doors, flooring, and other lumber in there, along with a box of other materials and general trash. It was all neatly arranged, but it wouldn't have filled 1/2 a pick-up truck and taken 3 minutes to load. It is surprising since it doesn't square with the quality of work and the professionalism he showed. I feel that this detracts from the overall job quality delivered and knocks my rating there down from an A to a B.
Bottom-line, I would hire him again.

"Unfortunately here there was no discussion on removing the old doors from job site in this case ,which I would have been more than happy to do so. Some customers choose to dispose of there own debris to keep the cost down. We at Phase One Construction Co.take pride in what we do.We are known to be extremely meticulous and neat on all jobs. Thank you to all of our customers and we appreciate your business. Glenn"

Glenn does not have a big operation, but he has a great eye, great skills, and excellent attention to detail.

He took some sketches I did and built a beautiful deck using prime grade lumber.

He's a really good guy, easy to talk to and great communication. I would recommend Glenn to everyone on a job like mine.
