M & M LANDSCAPE & MASONRY

This was an awful experience. I told the head of this company at the start that a major reason we wanted to improve our back yard was for an event we were hosting on a specific date. In addition to the mulching and planting, he suggested that he also, for an additional $1,000 (above the $6,000 cost), provide soil and spread it over a certain area that I was trying to improve on my own. I accepted his offer to do this and emphasized that it needed to be done by the event date. He agreed. As that date approached, I communicated with him frequently, as I'd seen no soil spread, and he promised he would get this done. The day before the event, we discussed the fact that either the soil would not be delivered or it would be delivered and spread that day (the day BEFORE the event). Instead, he dumped a giant pile of soil in the middle of my back yard the day before the event and didn't spread it. He then texted with me endlessly, delaying the time that he planned to spread it, moving it from late that night to early the next morning to "by noon" the day of the event. I emphasized to him the day of the event that machinery had to be gone by noon. He then, amazingly, said that not only could he not do it by noon, but that I was on my own and he would not be returning at all to spread the soil. This actually ruined the entire look of the property for the event we hosted - - the exact opposite of the objective of the entire project. We essentially wasted $6,000 on this contractor, because the event looked worse than it otherwise would have had we not hired him at all. He was also incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had been clear that we wanted soil only if it was spread by the date discussed. By delivering the soil but not spreading it, he actually illegally dumped soil (of poor quality) in my yard without permission and ruined the back yard.

When I was planning a new walkway, I got a estimates from a few different contractors with extensive reviews on Angie's List.  I also contacted M&M, even though they did not have many reviews.  I am very glad that I did.  
They were able to quote a great price on the work performed, they were able to start very soon, they finished in the timeframe specified, and their work was excellent.  Mauricio had great advice about the specifics of the work when we weren't quite sure exactly what we wanted.
I highly recommend using M&M.

Mike was super.  He gave  us a great design for our front yard.  We wanted something that would be low maintenance and he really got it.  We're so pleased.  He & his crew had the work down quickly and with a minimum of disruption.  He was very courteous and easily answered all our questions.

Mike fit me in before an important holiday weekend even though his schedule is full. He has a crew of 6 that works efficiently. I received recommendations for good lawn care in the future, and they left my place looking much better.

THEY DID A FINE JOB, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. THEY MADE THE TREES AND SHRUBS LOOK NEAT AND CLEAN. EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN WHEN THEY LEFT. THERE WERE A COUPLE DAYS WHERE THEY CAME IN LATER THAN THEY SHOULD HAVE OR DIDN'T COME UNTIL MUCH LATER IN THE DAY AND DID NOT TELL ME, BUT THEY GOT THE WORK DONE.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM FOR MASONRY WORK. THEY WERE FANTASTIC BECAUSE THEY WERE INCREDIBLY METICULOUS. THE WORKMEN TOOK A GREAT AMOUNT OF TIME TO CHIP AWAY PIECES OF ROCK TO MAKE EVERYTHING FIT PERFECTLY. I ASKED THEM TO MAKE IT ALL LOOK NATURAL, AND IT DID.
