Pools By Franco

Angis list provided me with the contractor Pools by Franco. I spoke with Mr. XXXXXX he advised that the pool liner should be replaced because of a small tear. The provider Pools by Franco provided a contract to replace the liner in my pool. we both signed, I gave him a deposit in cash of $2800, I did not have my checkbook with me at the time. The same day we signed the contract he said he d drain the pool. He sent a guy to take the measurement of the pool to order to purchase the liner. Mr. XXXXXXX drained my pool and never showed back up to do any work. I called him numerous times leaving messages, texted him and emailed him. No answer. At the beginning of July on the 15th I finally got a hold of him he said he has the liner via text which I have saved and all other texts I ve sent him as well as emails. Mr. XXXXXXX never showed and stopped taking my calls. My liner is ruined, I m afraid the pool will cave in. I filled the pool on the deep end but since it was drained with the sun being so hot this summer the liner shrunk and was completely destroyed on the shallow end. I need my money back plus any damages my pool may have incurred because of it being empty. I called Angi s list tonight because I blocked my number and called Mr.XXXXXXX, he answered but immediately hung up when he realized it was me. This man is a thief, you provided his information as your trusted contractor, you were supposed to have vetted him so I wouldn t have to. I need Angi s list to get my money back, I do not have money to hire another contractor, nor at this time do I know what damages if any occurred to the walls of the pool since it was empty. It actually have grass growing on the shallow end.
