I had to replaced my broken down 8X12 wood shed. Shopping around the NYC area choices was very limited. You can choose a plastic or a metal sheds, but these lacks the wind/snow resistance for the roof. Home Depot offers one of the cheapest options, but after reading the reviews how do you know who is installing them? I had selected Ready Shed after comparing all the onsite wood shed vendors. It is a small company that only builds sheds. Their pricing is a little better than reasonable and is posted right on their website. I have to admit I was a little worry after scheduling my shed online since you don’t need a down payment or get a confirmation email. You do get a confirmation for the schedule delivery and installation date. They called three days before my scheduled appointment to confirm my needs. I meet John and Rob on the day of the shed building and they were one of the friendliest and courteous contractors I have met. They built everything from scratch starting from the foundation. It is obvious they take pride in their work. My new 10X12 wood shed came out great. I had added the loft for free if booked online and paid extra for a wood bench. The shed is built on top of cement blocks to limit water contact and there are PVC trims all around. The wood foundation is also using pressure treated wood which can withstand water contact for many years. I would highly recommend this company. Just keep in mind that it may take them a little time to get back to you since it is a very small company, but the your patience will be well rewarded.
