They measured incorrectly and had to rebuild the stairs, The second set also did not fit, but they installed them anyway. The squeak, the old ones that they removed were over 60 years old and their answer was that they would "caulk" them. I was told that wood filled with Knots is " how they build them". The installers broke the tree in front of my house. They sent some one to my house to check out my issues and he yelled at us. When I asked him to leave he shut the door on my hand. I would not recommend them to anyone.

We choose Deer Park Stairs after talking with two other stair contractors. We were familiar with their work and know people who had used them. We knew at the start that they did not do any of the finishing work. They simple installed the stairs and railings. We had to have the sheetrock replaced, the finishing trim installed, and a painter and floor finisher complete the job. If I had to do this again I would definitely consider someone who did the entire job start to finish. We had to call them back twice once for a squeaky stair and then for a spongy platform. They did come and correct one problem and identified another problem that they did not repair. We had the contractor that did finish work correct that issue.

The work could not have come out better. It looks like it was there with the original stairs and it is beautiful. The whole process was so professional. I visited their showroom and received a lot of help. They followed up with estimates and times and were so courteous. Probably the best experience I had with a vendor in years. The gentleman that installed the railings was so nice and clean. He really is a true craftsman. I could not be happier. They also honored the $200 off coupon they advertise with. I contacted Deer Park for a custom job.  They got back to me with an honest quote that was outside my budget and advised me that I would get more value going a different direction.  They went above and beyond the call of duty and provided me, at no cost, a sketch for their proposed solution, knowing that another contractor would wind up getting the gig.  That level of integrity, professionalism, and service can't be bought.  Highest recommendation.
