I found Jim when I first moved to Rochester several years ago.  He has done several jobs for me.  This review is regarding energy efficient windows he installed.  He worked for a large window/door company in the area before he started running his own business.  They probably regret losing him because his work is impeccable.  On a scale of picky, I would place myself at a 10+.  This can create difficulty if a contractor that is working for me does not do outstanding work.  Jim's work is excellent.  The windows were installed in a house that is close to 100 years old.  It required some creative problem solving on a few of them since whoever installed the windows originally had cut a few corners.  He did the measure, tear out, install, and finish trim and caulking.  He cleaned up after himself.  He even took his shoes off since we do that in our house while he was working.  The windows worked great this past winter and made a big difference in the comfort level.  10/10 work.  I have no hesitation recommending him for any handyman household need you might be thinking of completing.
