He did a good job however I had to call him 2 weeks after he was supposed to call me back. And when he did come I didn't realize he was going to trim it then because he only said he was going to call me.

The job itself was what you'd expect.  It was the entire process that was awful.  They showed up before we'd approved anything, put equipment in the yard before we agreed to a price....all which seemed typical of a family run business (do what they want when they get to it.)
The price for the job was offered by the contractor and before I accepted it, the town stepped in to let the community use their services to remove the trees.  This was a tremendous offer to us, and I conveyed to the company that I would like the quote adjusted to reflect a cost that no longer would be applicable.  That is when things went ugly and they owner said I was lucky he discounted it as much and that I would never have known, blah blah blah.  When I called him out on this as being unprofessional and unethical...to admit that they would have finagled the quote they'd already done so I might not get as much off??  And the original quote included an item that later cost an add'l $150 on the new quote.  They owner(s) insisted on referring to this as a deduction, which I corrected them on.  An adjustment is used when a cost no longer applies; a deduction is one that is offered
by the contractor.  Over several days there was an issue with payment which I had indicated in an email the week before....was waiting for them once I had a properly formatted invoice which my insurance company required.  The handwritten, crossed out nonsense looked unprofessional and State Farm said "it looked like their child did the invoice. Get another."  Professionalism has gone from bad to worse with one abusive email after another.
The work itself was fine and on that I had no issues.  On the matter of customer service, business etiquette and common sense these people need to take some classes.  It wasn't worth the little savings I received by going with this outfit and I would never recommend them to my family or friends.

It turned out very well.  They were very neat and clean.  They came back a little bit later to do the stump.  They did an excellent job.  It was very good, very nice job.   They just picked up everything.  They had a good crew that kept everything nice and clean.  They took special attention to, I think, to my shrubs and flowers and things of that nature.   We just got 3 different estimates and we have used them in the past so they knew what their work is going to be.  Compared to the other prices we got, they were a little bit less.  They were very responsive in coming out and giving out the estimates.  They set up a date where they were going to take the tree down then it rained a great deal.  They couldn’t get on to the property.  It would have been nice if they had given us a call just to let us know.   They even said to us, when it rain, expect us to be there.

The men arrived ready to work and suggested they wanted me to advise them as they were finishing each tree; they wanted me to be pleased !!
As the work progressed one man continually dragged huge limbs to the chipper in front of my home.
This man also assisted from the ground in facilitating the work in progress.  It was quite an art to watch
this professional work his way up the tree and ........back down again.
From the meeting with the owner for an estimate to waving good bye to the crew I was very pleased and
my yard was spotless.  Also, the owner communicated with a change in plans due to weather.

The willow tree was huge, it had a 60" diameter.  I was pleased with their work and I would most definitely use them again.
