Upfront Auto Clinic

I've dealt with Valenti's Upfront Auto Clinic now for about 10 years. They are a no nonsense, full service, auto repair shop. They do all phases of auto maintenance and repairs. Work is done on time and right the first time. You can send your mother, wife, kids, friends, etc. and know they will never be taken advantage of!

The work was done within 24 hrs. which is responsive so that was a positive. I was shocked at the bill though and I did not haggle because I took the vehicle there and when they called to explain the pricing I agreed for them to proceed. This is what I have a problem with - parts pricing - I called autozone and got a quote for all the parts - total $175.00 - Upfront billed me $425.00  This does not factor in the probability of their pricing being less than mine at autozones.  The total bill was $715.00 minus the tax total is $662.00  The bill had 3 hrs @ $80.00 / hr. {seems high}.  If they paid the maximum of $175.00 for the parts - Then gross profit = about a minimum of $490.00 - remember they may have paid less then $175.00 for the parts. I know businesses have expenses, labor, W.C., etc, etc. but has it gotten so that it takes a 76% gross profit to 24% parts cost to make a living or could it be greed may be a factor.

Problem with brakes was assessed accurately and repaired the same day with out any extra or unneeded services.
Problem with a/c was assessed accurately and  repaired the same day.
I never get any nonsense from this firm - always quick, accurate diagnosis without any high pressure sales pitches for additional services.
You can always trust sending your mother or wife there without any hassle!

Overall experience with them has been very good! They seem very good and very knowledgeable. I like the cleanliness at the shop and the quality of the work they do. I think they are a little bit expensive.

Speedy service. This preventive maintanence work was complete in less than a day. I have used these guys many times over about 6 years. They can do all work that was once thought of that only a dealer can do. No nonsense price games. They sell you only what is needed. Work is always done properly. Even if there is a call back, it goes ahead of other work and taken care of promptly. I know a lot about cars and have tangled with many a repair shop and dealers. But I would trust my mother, wife and kids to these guys.

I don't use Upfront Auto Clinic all of the time, but they do oil changes and stuff. I've been very lucky with my car and when I do use them their prices have been all right. They are really good and you don't have to wait a long time for them to service your car.
