I was going to the beach with my family in our mini van. The guys checked the van tires and did a trip check.
When I was pulling out of the shop; relieved that the van checked out OK; I realized it needed inspection! I wondered how good a trip check was that missed an inspection sticker need.
Also a few short weeks later I needed brakes. Hmmm how did that get missed in a trip check?? It turns out they check the brakes by feeling one brake pad; and if it feels OK it is assumed they ALL are.
While I like being able to walk to Superior Auto because they are in the neighborhood, and they are reasonable in their prices, I sometimes feel like they aren't very thorough and kind of lazy. Also sometimes you have to wait a week or more because there are only two mechanics and car bays.
