First of all, I am glad the job is finished. Using a new contractor for the first time is stressful. Anticipation as to the outcome, and the hope that there will be no major problems are foremost in my mind. Bill Evans was there to assist me in the decisions for which I was thankful. I have had contractors before who did a 180 after the contract was signed. Bill was always a phone call away, or at my front doorstep. He was conscientious throughout. All of his team were congenial and professional. They had a job to do and they did it. No verbal arguments throughout the job. After working, they cleaned up my property with a broom, a magnetized nail cleaner, and a blower. They were at my home when promised. If they were not on time, they apologized. I respected them and they respected me.
The foreman, Chris, was a one-man wonder. He installed the doors and windows, also assisting in installing the siding and insulation. Chris was amazing. Kept on going and going, never yelled or became visually unnerved. He is very focused on the job at hand, willing to accomplish any of the tasks in order to please me, the customer. I do appreciate his perseverance and willingness to go the extra step. A big "THANK YOU" to Chris and Bill and the team. All of the insulation was fitted tight and taped. Any problems that were uncovered when old siding was removed was fixed prior to new siding installation. If there were any additional costs these were discussed and cost agreed prior to work being performed. Payment schedule was agreed upon prior to work being performed. If there were questions and/or decisions nothing was assumed, I was asked my opinion. If asked they would also offer their expertise and advice, however, the decision was ultimately mine. I cannot say enough about how professional the entire job was handled. We did receive estimated from other window and siding contractors. Some gave us lower estimates, however, keep in mind you get what you pay for. I would 1,000% recommend Bill Goess Siding Inc
I am more than extremely happy and please with the work performed.
Billy was very responsive both before and after the siding work on our house was finished and completely paid off. He patiently brought me all samples I had a fancy to explore and answered all questions on the house before I made up my mind on the products and signed the sale agreement.
Billy did not cut corners. In fact, he gave more into the job. We did not have any agreement on the ice and water shield along the lower skirt of our garage siding, the metal flashing along the lower skirt of the main house siding or replacement of pieces of rotted wood on the window frames. Billy put them in. Billy also put up for us a pair of awning we purchased elsewhere. The underlayment and the reinforced siding together were too thick for the awning anchors we got from the awning vendors. The anchors provided an easier way for an awning vendor or a homeowner to mount the awnings. That was the way our old awnings were put up. Billy and his crew put a metal flashing above the awning where the new vinyl siding was put up to keep out rainwater and sealed the contact between the awning and the siding. He and his crew used professional masonry nails to put up the other awning on our front entrance. I spotted the difference a day after the crew finished the job. I called Billy and asked him about the little anchors that I gave to his foreman, Chris, but which I didn't see on the new awnings. Billy talked to Chris and sent him to come in person (not explaining it over the phone) to me and explained their better way of putting the awnings up. In fact, Billy and his foreman were always eager and patient in adressing all similar concerns I and my husband brought before them. Their attitude and manner was absolutely professional. They did it all because, as his foreman put it, "we understand a homeowner's concerns". I ended up returning the little metal anchors to the awning vendors.
Every piece of the work was completed in first class workmanship. Despite the professional work, Billy has a warm personality. He introduced his crew each by their names on the first day of work. He sometimes worked with his crew. His crew was considerate and courteous. I could do effortul reading while their crew were working on the house. They cleaned everything up so that we never had any inconvenience even when the work was in progress. All that were left after the work was completed was a professional piece of home improvement we could enjoy.
I have no reservation recommending this vendor.
"WE STRIVE FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WITH OUR PRODUCTS, PERFORMANCE AND OVERALL COMPLETENESS OF JOB. THANK YOU!"
