Overall the experience was great. We got 3-4 quotes and ultimately selected Voltan. His price was competitive and we had also heard of him as he worked with some other contractors who did work in our house. It was a big job. It is a 4200 sq foot house with old, thirsty cedar shake on 3 sides and a two tone Tudor front. Lots of trim work, scraping and prepping. I had the gutters and leaders painted as well. He power-washed the house to start. They did a combination of low volume spraying, brushing it out and applied multiple coats as necessary. He knew what needed to be done and you didn't have to follow them around. Few small items we did point out were addressed immediately. All in all he helped from the creative side of color selection, to addressing issues he found along the way. This included a rotted door frame, broken window sill, required flashing and he even identified a problem with my roof which he addressed. Since I am a handy guy, I looked at every issue and his recommendation on how to address was right on. It was second nature as he also does lots of contracting work as well. He showed up when he said he would for both the estimate and the work. He started the job and worked it to completion in about 8 days. He scaled his team from 2-6 based on what he was working on and the weather. Very professional, reliable and hard workers. The project was on time, on budget and no surprises. Overall good experience.
