It wasn't a great experience. He kept over charging us. Things that we had agreed to, he didn't actually do. He would do things his own way without compromising. The quality wasn't impressive. He installed the wrong toilet. The quality of the things he installed were not good. Everything we wanted ended up being extra money. Even though we had agreed to our blueprint and layout, he did not oblige to. A job that was supposed to take six weeks ended up taking six months. The floors upstairs were not put on were incorrect. There were three different types and it doesn't look pleasing. He would smile and nod his head for everything, but wouldn't actually do anything that we asked him to do, unless it was for more money that we did not intially agree on. The shower was supposed to be frameless and tiled completely. It was not. The paint job that finished everything off was unbelievalbe. I am not sure if he knew what he was doing at all. He was a nice enough guy to talk to, but he just did not know how to paint. The skylights he put into the ceiling were crooked and not put in correctly. Every day was something else. Sometimes he would call, sometimes we couldn't talk to him. Sometimes it was impossible to speak to him. It was one of those horror stories that you get into that you hope to get out of, but you find yourself right in the middle. The happiest day was when he left for good.

Overall, he seems to find something that raises the price on everything. When we asked for a certain type of column, he said what we wanted would be an additional $1.500.00 We had to raise our chimney a couple of inches and he charged us and additional $1,500.00 for that also. He did break one of our windows, and though he said he would take care of it, it has not been fixed yet. He also took down an awning, and when we requested that the awning be put back, he requested an additional $1,500.00. It seems that this amount is his magic number. The work goes very quickly. It's becoming an issue that "it's not in the contract", and we're being billed separately for everything. I have to pay for my own tiles, my own vanity, things that were supposed to be included. I feel that we are being price gouged.
