What I thought was a simple repair of wrought iron turned out to be a project. Terry kept at it until he got it right. Very determined. Would not give up!

I had no idea how much work was involved!!! A wonderful job and person! I cannot remove ac filters from high units anymore. Terry not only removed and cleaned the filters but cleaned entire ac unit including the very top!!!! He re-installed window shade that had fallen loose of its window frame and repaired an antique rocking chair. Clean, efficient, knowledgeable and kind! A wonderful worker.

Terry took my money but would not finish the job. kept asking for more money for things we had discussed as being included. Generally, an unreliable and dishonest contractor, Beware.

We hired Terry to renovate our walk in apartment. From the initial visit to the last visit - he was an absolute dream. His work is excellent, his prices are more than fair and we were very lucky to find him. He is so knowledgeable and his workers are great too! Everyone was extremely neat and tidy. We will definitely use him in the future. He treated us like family and that is very rare to find nowadays.

I was contacted by Vortec immediately after I placed request with Angi. And I realized that Terry had actually done another small project in my home before. He immediately came by to do the job. It was a small job to fix a kitchen cabinet shelve but very inconvenient to not be able to access the pots and pans. So glad hob was done so quickly

Terry from Vortec Renovations contacted me almost immediately after I posted with Angi. He came next day to appraise the job and started it right away, which was very important to me as I could not make another appointment with meter installers until this job was done. Job entailed removing front and and top side of basement closet where my utilities meter is located (this needed to be done so utility can install a new meter). He tackled job so it would be less cumbersome and costly to reconstruct after a new meter is installed. I will contract him separately for that task. He then also replaced two 4x4 posts for a portion of outdoor fence that had been eaten away, securing them with cement. And he painted the lattice and helped support another section of the fence. Terry was very professional and personable, and reliable (a trait I highly value and is often lacking) . He worked quickly and neatly and I recommend him to everyone.

Working with Terry was a pleasure. In addition to painting a porch deck, all the wrought iron railings outside the house were painted. The job was completed earlier than expected and was done very neatly. I would not hesitate to use Vortec again.

We hired Terry in July 2020 to remediate a problem in our basement. Our house is 90 years old and the foundation walls had some minor spalling and cracks. Terry took care of these issues and painted the walls, now the place looks great. he came every day and completed the work within the time frame he promised and did a few things over and above what we had discussed and contracted for, without additional charge. We were quite satisfied with his work and would recommend him for consideration if you're looking for this kind of repair work.

Terry was a dream to work with.I heard horror stories about contractors,so I was nervous when looking to redo my kitchen. Terry was honest, straight forward, respectful of my space, and most importantly, did a really great job. I would use him again and recommend him in a heartbeat.

Terry is professional, honest, reliable, thorough, organized and a fantastic communicator. I am a realtor and I called on him to do as much as he could with as little as possible to make my listing look desirable. He completely transformed my client’s home and brought it up to market value within the time frame and budget he promised. He repaired broken doors, busted ceilings, replaced vanities/sinks, repaired, sanded, stained and polyurethaned all floors, painted every room - it was just magic. When I photographed and marketed the home, I got an incredible response and received offers at the very first open house - at asking! I am thrilled with my decision to use him.

Project went very well and as scheduled. My garage entrance door (not the battery operated part) came off of its hinges after someone tried breaking in. Terry gave me a quote and we worked out a schedule. He came on time and replaced the door according to what I asked for. I will probably use him again in the future.

Terry contacted me right away about the project, stopped over and gave a reasonable estimate. He did an outdoor project and installed shelves indoors. He finished both projects and cleaned up after each one. I will probably be contacting him again with future projects.

Terry is amazing. He is very diligent with following up on phone calls. He is a very honest and execptional contractor. I had two projects. One to repair a kitchen faucet and another to fix a wall-mounted entertainment center that was starting to fall off the wall. He refused to perform work and to charge me for the kitchen faucet work. With his research which determined the faucet manufacturer and his experience he suggested that I contact the manufacturer. Turns out that the faucet was under a life time warranty. A new faucet, which I can install myself in seconds, is being shipped for free! He did a perfect job repairing the entertainment center. I had expected the worse, that i would have to replace the unit. But Terry successfully re-mounted the floating comment and its even better and stronger than when I originally installed it (yes, I did not do a good job!). His solution was elegant and clean. He is very skilled. He is also very polite, very friemdly, and he communicates well. I will recommend him to my friends and family from now on. He is my handyman for life.
