It was a cold winter day when the auto glass truck pulled into our driveway and the technician replaced the windshield on my truck.  He never said a cold day, outside, was not the way to go.  He gave us instructions when he finished the job.  We were told not to drive the truck for three hours, to close the door gently for several days and to leave the blue tape on for 24 hours. After five hours I drove it several miles (slowly).  After 48 hours I removed the blue tape.  To my shock the windshield was not inserted properly and a whole finger could go through the windshield into the cab.  So I drove the truck to Gino's and the shop owner agreed that the installation was faulty.  He called the technician who told him we should "wait until a warm day" and he would fix it. Well, I came home and did some research.  The truck is presently not only vulnerable to any rain/snow/sleet that falls, because of a huge leak.  It is also dangerous to drive.  The windshield is vital to the safety of the vehicle and improperly installed windshields have been the cause of several deaths in accidents. It is now early March.  It won't be warm until May.  Until then, I guess I have to let my truck sit, not driving it, and covered with a tarp to prevent moisture getting in. This is very unsatisfactory, a job VERY poorly done.

UPDATE: This is an update of previous review.  Took truck into shop for reevaluation of windshield replacement and all is now satisfactory.  The owner dealt with us personally, and answered all questions and did all that needed to be done to make the windshield secure and safe.  Since previous problems were corrected I would like this to be an update/correction to that review.
