Made two appointments with provider. Provider missed both appointment with no notification. Finally met an estimator at 3rd appointment. Spent an hour with the estimator reviewing the project. Was told I would receive an estimate within a few days. Received no estimate and no call back.

Work was estimated and performed very professionally. Would highly recommend them to others.

My wife called the office and spoke with Dmitri. From the start, his company was professional, and courteous. Out of all the quotes we had received, he was by far the lowest and he was able to provide the same services. We also met with Igor who came to our house for last minute measurements. Igor said to us, " We try to provide our customers with the best experience because our satisfaction comes from happy homeowners". On the day of installation, the crew worked fast and were extremely clean, and at the end of the two day install, the wood stair railings exceeded our expectations! Our GC commented on what great job they did. We would highly recommend DKP stair railings to anyone who needs custom wood railings. Thank you Angie's list and thank you Dymitri for your services. Looking forward to working with you guys again.

Dmitry came by on time, looked at the scope of the work and provided an estimate on the spot. Price was very reasonable and they seemed to be very accommodating on scheduling the work.
The crew showed up on time with all the material, and completed the work as agreed to our satisfaction, within the time they stated.
Would definitely consider using them again for future projects.

The owner came over and did the initial measurements, and scheduled the work within the next week or so. The initial responsiveness was strong as they were able to accommodate us and another team of contractors that were refinishing the floors in our living room and hallway. The team of two was thorough and was able to finish the work in one day. However, upon final inspection, I questioned some of the craftsmanship since the side of the stair case ran unevenly along the wall. Between the sheet rock wall and the side of the stairs, there was a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom of the stairs and about a 1/2 inch gap at the top. The two workers did their best to explain why the stairs had to be installed the way they were, but it was a bit difficult to understand them (heavy foreign accent). In the end, we had to cover the gap with a thicker moulding. There was also another moulding issue at the base of the other staircase. For some reason, the carpenters unnecessarily cut the back of a tread to allow it to adjoin the closet door casing that is next the to the staircase. Again, to hide what I viewed as small mistakes, we had to be creative with moulding. I did appreciate how the owner returned after I explained that I wasn't satisfied. He did his best to answer my questions and quell my concerns, and he had his team do small finishing touches to help rectify the situation. He definitely wanted to see me satisfied with the work. I appreciated that.

I contacted DKP WOOD RAILINGS and STAIRS INC. by phone twice, left messages and never received a return call. This contractor had a lot of positive reviews so I was persitent and decided to email the company. I finally received a response from the contractor and we scheduled a date for him to come over my house for the estimate. He never showed and never called to explain what happened. Waste of my time, very unprofessional and poor customer service.

Got a couple of estimates from Angie's list co's. Estimates were within a couple of hundred of each other so price was not an issue. I liked dealing with these guys more, very personable and prompt. Excellent workmanship. Keep in mind you need to higher finishers to paint/stain your stairs, patch walls, etc.

This is one professional company....from the owner who not only provided the estimate but also explained what was involved and made suggestions, to the manager answering my questions by phone, ending with the team of installers. This company even installs on Saturdays which is a huge plus in my book. The installers arrived exactly on time and began work immediately. They removed the exisiting staircase without a problem, cut up and placed the debris outside and when the job was finished they hauled it away. Another plus in my book!! The installation of the new staircase was amazing to watch. These gentlemen were experts and their work definitely proved it. The treads and risers section was built in the shop and all the rest was done on site. This incuded red oak treads, handrail, and box newels and poplar risers and stringers. And beautiful primed ballusters. When the job was complete the area was vacuumed and cleaned up. Even the wood shaving on the outside walk was swept up. All I was left with was a beautiful staircase.

i placed internet inquiries with 2 companies and this company responded quickly. estimator was very friendly and helpful. i went to shop to look at samples and was treated courteously by a patient craftsman. job was scheduled within a few days of okay. workers did great job removing old railing and installing new wood system.
