"This person refused to wait for good weather. I am glad that we did not get involved with her we were no her original stamped concrete installer. So glad to not to do business with her."
I contacted Concrete Impressions and set up an appointment to meet with John, the owner.
John arrived promptly at the appointed time and then began to explore the various possibilities of what might have caused the crack, and the method he proposed to replace the slab with a new, more durable one.He took the time to explain to me the method and materials he would use.
I was very impressed that while dressed in casual clothes, John took a sledge hammer and broke out a piece of the slab to explore the footing. He took time to explain to me the various possibilities of what might be found when the slab was removed, and how the replacement would be handled.
Knowing that there was bound to be plumbing damage because the pipes were buried directly under the slab, I asked if it would be a problem if he could remove the slab on one day, then return when the plumbing repairs were made. He readily agreed to do this.
On the appointed day John arrived with a crew and set directly to work. With minimum fuss he had the slab removed and loaded on his truck.
Plumbing repairs were made, and several days later John returned with his crew, and poured a new slab, His crew was polite, and showed much concern to create as little mess as possible.
All in all, this was a VERY professional company to deal with. These folks not only have the knowledge to effect a job such as this but also the experience. I highly recommend them.
2 - When we had issues John - the boss on the ground - came to get me. His goal is a strong and level job. So when he pointed out my offlevel fence he stopped, talked to me, suggested a fix, and then had his guys raise a 200lb cement filled post about half a foot.
3 - Whenever I had a question it was answered. Whatever I asked for I got.
4 - The quality of the job is hard to judge until you see crappy work. After I went to the decking store on the corner of 24 and 110 and saw awhat a comedic mess stamped concrete could be, I became double impressed. Go see their stuff and then go elsewhere. Heck, come see my house.
5 - John was ALWAYS there. He may arrive ten minutes behind the guys, but the boss is there all the time to ensure quality control.
6 - When I didnt like the edging color, it was promptly fixed. This is impressive not for the fixing, but for the fact that I was told to hold the final deposit until I was satisfied. Ive been in home improvements for near a decade and I never heard that before.
My ONLY complaint was communication. I had to initially call to get dates and times of the work. This lasted only for a few days, though, and I was talking personally with John by the end.
"We never did work in New Jersey, I think you have the wrong Company, We are based out of long island New York,PLease remove this from my profile"
