Very knowledgeable, Crew is awesome

Richie came in as a nice guy, quoted a price that incorporated everything however what he does not tell you is that he pockets most of the money and buys cheap, his work was inspected by other contractors only for them to say we have been take for a ride by Richie and sons.He took my money as stated in the contract for material and has not refunded me as yet so I have to go to court to reclaim my monies owing to me.He did plumbing, and boarded up the faucet outlets ( who does that?)he removed my radiator heating and never put it on again, my daughter got sick and he was aware of this, he became aggressive and intolerable where he threatens you holding you hostage because he has your money, he keeps changing his mind and we are not allowed to have an opinion on his work saying we have no knowledge of building so we should not have a say.He sent us pictures of the material but delivers something completely different, when we told him that s not what we want he gets upset, and angry. To the addition of my bathroom installation work, we asked for some pointing work to be done, he made his carpenter to do the work,( who is not a masonary worker)my husband was upset with the work and told Richie and Richie responded by berating him and became totally toxic to work with. I eventually Called the police to remove Richie from my premises when he became aggressive to work with and told him to return my money for the return of a few tools he left behind.Richie has no people skills nor patience, he screamed in front of my kids and that was unacceptable.If you would not like to go to court and have to fight for monies that you worked hard for do not go down the path I took.He had an option of returning my monies he owes me, he refused, I did not mind him keeping the money he worked for even though there are blunders, I asked for the money he is aware of that is owed to me. That is considered fraudulent behavior.Richie is untrustworthy. I am sure there are some good reviews but According to what I read other people had similar dealings with Richie.You are forewarned! Richie has take away my trust in people and I am wary of hiring others ,and if Richie is reading this or has a reply to this, know this that I can document everything I say with proof of text and the contract you breached.It s not a nice thing to take advantage of innocent people promising them excellent service only to end up in court and having to call the police.

Richie and his team does awesome work! Richie was so easy to work with and communicate with, and his finished work was exactly what we wanted. He also made great suggestions. Richie was like a friend through the entire experience, as he did work in our basement, remodeled our bathroom and refaced our fireplace. To anyone looking for someone to do work on their home, Richie is by far the best you could hire.

Very good work and very fair with costs of the additional work we threw at him. He built us custom bunk beds, bed frames and a set of stairs, on top of the challenging project he took on to begin with.

Very poor quality work, kept charging more money and demanding more. The job was not completed, when we refused to pay the extra money that he was demanding, he became violent , broke our front door and sliding door. We had to call the police and they removed him. We are stack with wrong windows, unfinished job, no siding, one window is broken .

Richie and sons contracting was great from start to finish. They turned an old infested jacuzzi room into a modern functioning bedroom for my son. They also added siding to my home...incredible I'm proud to come home now. The price was VERY reasonable. THEY ARE MY DIMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!

To start. Permits were a big issue that he did not get right with the Township and he started without permission as he did not wait for the paperwork to go through 1st. Communication was poor and he did not know he was removing old railings for a new deck. Thats an extra charge. A Contracted 3 day job took 6 weeks. Many text messages of failed promises to complete the job from week to week. Although the deck looks good. I asked for a access panel as the lattice is already there and he gives me something totally different than what was discussed. He charges $150.00 for a framed square cut out, 2 hinges and latch. The deck work was good but it was hell with his temper flare ups and communication to get it done. He had a full plate and too much going on. His crew though did a good job.

ACCOMADATING, FRIENDLY, GOOD LISTENERS HELFUL

I am very pleased with the work carried out by R & L Builders on my property. I entrusted R & L Builders to transform my crawlspace into a full space basement. There are very few professional firms that have the means, ability and technological expertise to carry out this type of work in the entire State of Pennsylvania, but I can guarantee hands down that there is no other company in the entire state of Pennsylvania that matches the expertise of R&L Builders in this domain. I was very pleased with the final result when my crawl space was transformed into a full luxury basement at a very reasonable price.

Job was supposed to be finished in August, it is still not ready to move into. Very messy/sloppy work, dirty, garbage left around my home, parts missing (hardware for window, screens, switch plate covers, closet door) Got paint on my would floors, other problems occurred that they will not take responsibility for even though other contractors have said it is their fault. Wrecked driveway and lawn. Made many empty promises to do/fix things that weren't done, and I am doubtful they will be. Cut corners.

R&L Builders are truly a quality professional company. Being in the business of Construction for 30 years thay did little extras that made the job very professional. very professional. did not ask for down payment. since house is a vacation home, they waited for payment untill i was able to meet with them.
