Very badly, the staff sent 3 confirmation emails and then when we arrived said they had no record of our appointments. On other occasions where we were seen for our scheduled appointments we were routinely overcharged and had to seek refunds from their office manager, which to her credit, she provided.

That said, though I find the pricing a bit high, they are OUTSTANDING in every way. Exceptional diagnosticians, Physical therapy, quality of care, Passion! Responsive!... The quality of care is unmatched in the area. From the physical and hydro therapy with Tina to the annual wellness checks with Dr. Smith. Their diagnostic capabilities are truly superior and I am very thankful we have them close by for our special needs "children" Love these guys!

My lab has used this office all his life. It's a clean, modern facility. He's had surgery, dental work, orthopedic evaluation and even doggy psychiatric care. Very caring staff and competent docs. Great hours. Sometimes they run late and it's a wait. Also higher end cost wise, but my dog looks forward to his doctor visits.

Dr. Saloman and the assistants were great! They had to put a muzzle on my dog because she was nervous and quite uncomfortable. I was haapy because it was a soft fabric muzzle so my dog didn't have to be any more uncomfortable than necessary. They let me put on her as well so I could comfort her. They took her temperature, drew blood for testing and suggested an x-ray as well. The thing I really liked was they let me know how much each service was each step of the way so I could approve or not. Dr. Saloman gave me all the information. And options each step of the way. Surgical would have been a big chunk of change (almost $1000). I told her I couldn't touch that right now. She said the other option would be medical. She said my dog needed antibiodics because the immediate issue was to rid her body of the infection and get fluids into her. She added that that works in about 60% of dogs. She felt that would be a viable option for my dog because she was having drainage and that was a good path for the infection to get out of her (as nasty as that sounds). The doctor said the antibiodics needed to start that night. She had both antibodics and the antinausia medication in stock. Both antibiodics would have been a little over $50, the antinausia med would have been $73 through the IV. That bill would have been a little over $300. That was still a bit more than I could due (it was in between my pay periods). Dr Saloman through in the dose of anti nausea med s(so my dog would have some immediate relief) She wrote out a script for the antibiodics.. Gave her a liter if IV fluids to hydrate her again. I got the scripts filled at Walmart for $9.00. All said and done, $181.00 this is the second day on the meds, my dog is starting to feel better. I would highly recommend this Vet!

Excellent service. Very caring staff. Cannot praise them enough for how well our baby was taken care of. We have a very small dog with some major health issues that are always a concern but everyone at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Brennan have been exceptional at easing are fears with having anything done. We are new clients with them after being with our previous veterinary clinic for 20+ years and the people and service do not compare. We are very happy we made the switch after a lot of research on other area veterinary practices.

We have gone to them for years. They are really wonderful. We have a 18 years old Minskin and she has some health issues. We paid $400 for 9 days and they had to give her medication. Every time they do it, they charge us for that. They are really excellent. The staff is great. The doctor we go to is Dr. Brennan. She goes above and beyond. She does research and calls us at home. She is better than the human doctors. She is very caring. The price is high, but every veterinarian is high. The staff is very cheerful and helpful. It is very beautiful clean place. They are really great. I just feel very comfortable.

We called and got in the same day. During the phone call, Lisa took down all of our history. She was familiar with the breed and was very sympathetic - giving us an appointment right away. She even contacted our vet to get our dog's records, xrays and blood test results so we didn't have to.
When we arrived the reception couldn't have been better. They had all of our records and the paperwork was done. Knowing we were new, the receptionist then explained their reception area to us - and quot; Dogs one one side, cats on the other. Brochures, magazines and even free coffeeand quot; It was a large and friendly waiting area.
Shortly after we arrived, we were taken into an examaining room where a technician then took additional, comprehensive history. Dr. Eric Anderson gave our dog an extensive exam lasting at least 1/2 hour. He then referred us to a specialist and even though it was wafter 5:30pm, called and spoke directly to the specialist - explaining our situation and getting us an appointment for the next day. Our dog was scheduled for surgery right away. We just got the word everything went well.
The cost of the actual examination was about 1/2 of what we expected to pay!
Dr. Eric Anderson and the staff at Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic are examples of the way a veterinary practice should be run - If we didn't live 1 1/2 hours away they would be our vet in a heartbeat!
Great Vet, Great Staff, Great Price!!!!

This is my regular veterinary practice and they have been caring for my dogs and cats for several years. The incident above was just the last time I had to take my dog in for other than his regular periodic exam and vaccinations. In addition to providing excellent veterinary services, they are compassionate and caring toward both the animals they treat and the owners. They have helped me through the loss of several elderly pets, including coming to my home to euthanize two of my dogs (one suffering from cancer and the other nearly 15 years old and no longer able to stand). I can't say enough good things about the Ballston Spa Veterinary Hospital and plan on continuing to use their services for many years to come.

I arrived to pick up our dog at a little after 8:00 am on Monday July 23, 2012 and told the woman at the counter which dog I was there to pick up. She promptly told someone in the back to get my dog ready, then had me pay for the boarding and gave me my receipt. I was going to sit down to wait for them to bring my dog out, when a woman came out of the back and told me that they had just started giving my dog a bath, and would I prefer to come back later to pick up my dog or wait while they finished. Since I had to go to work and would already be late, I told her I would stay. After waiting for a few minutes, the woman at the counter who already processed my payment for the boarding, informed me that I needed to pay for the bath ($27.80) and nail trim ($19.00), that were being completed while I was waiting. So, I paid the new bill then sat for another 15-20 minutes, until they brought my dog out.
I would like to say that the Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic has always provided great medical service and treatment of our dog and cat since we have been taking them there. However, I was extremely dissappointed that they found it necessary to squeeze out $46.80 in services while I sat in their waiting room, when those services could have/should have been done sometime during the 9 previous days they were boarding our dog.
Although we will continue to take our dog and cat to the clinic for medical treatment, we will find another place to board our pets.

I brought my cat to Ballston Spa Vet Clinic for a second opinion on cancer; they were so kind and compassionate that I immediately switched all care over to them. I can't say enough about their kindness and compassion - but I should also mention their care of my cat, through surgery and pain management to putting her to sleep, was excellent. I plan on bringing all my other pets to Ballston Spa Vet Clinic for all care going forward.
Response from Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic
"Member, Thank you for this positive feedback. We work hard to provide the best possible care for our patients and their human family members. End-of-life issues are always the most difficult to deal with, but our goal is to maintain both compassion and professionalism throughout the process. I am glad we have done so with you. We look forward to seeing you soon, hopefully for some routine care of your other pets. Thanks,Dr. Andersen."

Everything on this trip went well - Iris is a rescue dog and very skittish but they take their time with her. I have been taking my dogs to the BS Vet Clinic when they were small and you just went and sat to be called in to see the vet. The Clinic has always provided excellent care but since it has been modernized and rebuilt I find the prices a little steep but that could be because I have six dogs.

Our older Jack Russell Terrier has been suffering from allergies for years and we have tried various medications and trials without success. Having met Danica and Eric socially and finding out more about them professionally, decided to bring my dog to them since nothing else was working. They proceeded to perform many tests on my dog besides routine care and started him on Atopica, an expensive prescription but the one they felt would actually work. It did. After a year, the medication seemed to work better and better and now he is off it completely and has not had any allergy issues since July this year.

Now, our visits are just for regular routine geriatric dog visits. Their office runs very smoothly and seamlessly and their building is a joy to visit. They have helped us with teeth cleaning and removal and various other conditions that have popped up in the past 3 years. We could not be happier with their service.

You might have to wait a little while for you appointment as they spend the necessary amount of time with each pet that is required. So sometimes, it means waiting for your turn but they are very good about communicating with you while you wait.

They are very friendly. We have been utilizing their services for our pets for years. They seem to be good. We are very happy with them. I haven't really done comparison shopping for vets so I don't know how they compare with any place else. We are very happy with the quality of work. They are very responsive, very punctual, and very professional. I called them this morning because I ran out of one of the medicines for one of our dogs. I asked for a refill on the prescription and I am going over shortly to pick it up.

The people at the vets are really terrific. They treat both the pet and her owners with respect. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes before we are seen. The techs appear to love animals. The vets themselves are professional, very thorough, great with the animals, and very willing to explain any issue that comes up. They not only treat the animal's current issues, but they are into preventative care as well. I feel that my dog is getting the best care there that can be had.

I have taken all my animals to Ballston's for a number of years now because of the caring atmosphere and wonderful care they receive there. The staff is friendly and the vets are kind. This visit went smoothly with no surprises, which is always a good thing. All three of them are just fine and I recommend their veterinary services.
