DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! Fence installation is horrible, and Ryan actually tried to scam us out of more money. 4 to 5 day job lasted 4 weeks. Ryan was rarely there and his workeR looked like this was the first fence he ever did. BE AWARE!! Wish I could give a zero star rating.

I will try to keep this short, this company is the worst. We had a fence installed around our pool in 2016 with a double gate on the privacy vinyl side. The gate was never installed correctly and was spaced too far apart. We had to use a piece of rebar to keep the fence from swinging open all the time. We had issues with the company and chose not to call them to fix the gate (was not worth the frustration) and no other company will work on a preexisting fence. So this Spring- the fence completely broke off during a wind storm. So we decided to call RMFence to replace the gate with a panel figuring it would save on cost AND hassle since it was improperly installed to begin with. I had explained what happened over the phone and he quoted us $625, so we agreed and sent $325 as deposit. The quote was to remove and dispose of existing gate and 2 gate posts and footings, install 1 corner post and 1 line post in concrete and custom build 1 section to fill space where gate was. We were never given a date for him to come, and then came home and the fence was "complete". By complete, they did not remove anything, reused the existing line and corner post AND some of the panels! So the end result was a panel with holes from the gate hinges still showing and cut out sections of fence to fit the panels (leaving the shavings on the concrete). When i called Ryan, he said that the job was a nightmare and that if he came to look at the job he never would have taken it, claiming that the slab of concrete from the pool area is over the top of the post they needed to dig up (keep in mind that the concrete from the pool area was poured BEFORE he put up the original fence). I told him how terrible it looks, and said we would have jjust replaced the gate, come to find out, now all of a sudden if we had him fix the gate- it would have been FREE since it has a lifetime warranty! WHY would he not have told us that to begin with? Im sure because he was trying to scam more money. I told him i am NOT paying the remaining balance of $300 due to the fact that he reused all the materials and did NOT do what the quote said was going to be done and then continued to tell me that the panels he had to use cost him $300... how did that cost him $300 if he practically reused everything that was previously installed???? Needless to say i would NEVERRRR recommend this company!!! ALSO- I am sure as i saw with most negative reviews Ryan will say that i am not a REAL customer.

Ryan put our fence up in August of 2018. After installing the fence, I noticed that the fence gates were not opening and closing properly. The corner was also missing a cap. Ryan has told us that he would come back and make adjustments to fix the fence and bring the missing cap. I have contacted him multiple times, and he continuously gives me the run around or does not show up when he says he would. I would not recommend RMF Fence and Deck.

After seeking multiple bids, RM Fence & Deck were the most price competitive. The quality of work was excellent and Ryan and his team were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend RM Fence to others.

I chose them over 4 other estimates. The owner was very professional and easy to work with. We had a difficult spot that needed fencing and he was able to customize the fence for us. On top of that, he was the most reasonably priced. They went above and beyond our expectations and would hire them again!

Price was very good. The installed work was of very good quality, and it looks good. Some minor repair on a gate done under warranty. Once the work got started, it was done quickly. However, the response time to schedule the work was delayed/slow, and that's my main suggestion for area of improvement. Advise your customer on dates for installation, and communicate of any delays on a timely manner. Some times it was hard to get a hold of contractor, so I had to leave multiple messages. I recommend better response time.

Highly recommended. Ryan is processional, punctual and easy to communicate with. Ryan did the fence exactly as we wanted it. The fence looks great and only took 2 days to complete the job. When the fence was completed, the site was cleaned and Ryan walked with us to make sure we were satisfied. Not even 2 weeks later, my mower threw a rock through one of the slates. I called Ryan and he was there in 2 days to fix it. If you want a high quality fence done right definitely call Ryan. We couldn't be happier.

I needed a fence in the fall of 2017 and after contacting Ryan he came out in less then a week to look at the project and give me an estimate. He was puntual and very respectful. Had great knowledge of the products he was selling and gave us a great price. After the deposite he was there within the allotted time that the invoice had stated and came with a hard working crew and completed the job in a timely fashion. Once the job was complete Ryan walked the job off with me and made sure everything was the way I wanted and I couldnt be more impressed and pleased with the job! I would highly recommend RMFenceanddeck solutions!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- This guy (Ryan) will rip you off in the blink of an eye. DO NOT USE THIS GUY- Ryan stole $1,600 from us and won't even refund the money 2 years later. He should not be in business and should put in jail. Going on two years now with the fence not completed. We have a 2 year long chain of text/ messages with Ryan stating he's going to "come by this week and finish the job" but never shows up and has more excuses than a 4yr old . I've never met a guy that literally lies every time he opens his mouth or sends a text. The work that he did do was horrible. If your're a girl thinking about using this con-artist please ,make sure you have a man around. Definitely prays on women. We asked him to drop off the material for the fence and we would just install it ourselves due to his 2yrs of excuses but he wouldn't. We asked him to refund the $1,600 we paid already and he won't. We have two cashed checks for proof. He's literally stealing from us. Beware of this guy, if you want a three day fence install to turn into a 2yr nightmare on top of Ryan stealing from you than this is the guy to call. If you do not want to get ripped off and lied to daily this is not the guy.

I hired him to install a gate on my fence and epoxy my garage floor. I paid for the gate and 1/2 labor, which was $800 in advance. I have a written work order acknowledging I paid 1/2 down and an install date of Feb 3, 2015. He never came back to do the work and he has constant excuses why he can't either do the work or refund my money. He is NOT registered with the BBB due to complaints.

Met the owner Ryan at the Saratoga Home Show this past February, in early March he came to my home and gave me a quote for the PVC fence and gate by our pool that ran half the perimeter of our property. We gave a 50% deposit for materials that day. Then the frustration of missed scheduled appointments ( days taken off from work when no one came) Numerous phone calls with no response.. When a call was returned it was with excuses and no apology. Finally in the middle of July (4months later) he shows up to finally start this one day job! Such a disappointment .. Was not a man of his word.. Ps.. Still waiting for a post he said he would replace...

badly The fence is suppose to be guaranteed, but I have had problems since he put it up and he refuses to fix it properly, The gate keeps breaking because the fence was installed improperly. I have already had him in mediation once because it took him a year to come fix it the first time..

Where do I begin with this review.  We gave Ryan a deposit first week of February and were promised we would have our fence in by the first week May.  We made this clear as we were getting a puppy the last week of April.   He was half the price of Lowes and Home Depot with a nicer quality fence.  We were thrilled to have found such a great quote. In April I emailed him to make sure we were still on for the first week of May since the ground was unthawed and it was an easy winter.   I was told yes.  

Now let’s start the problems.   Our fence did not go in until the last week of June.  I got every excuse in the book and he was next to impossible to reach.  Our poor puppy has had to be on a leash for 10 weeks of her life because of this delay. His voicemail box was always full and every time I did get a hold of him he was on his way or we were starting soon.  Countless days my husband and I sat waiting for him to show and he never did.  After I had an absolute meltdown he finally showed up.  His crew cleaned up the yard and was very nice and friendly.  

I will say I was not happy when one of his workers brought his puppy and had it running around our backyard – while I am trying to keep our dog in the house.   This was unprofessional and no one seemed to acknowledge that issue.  When the fence was finally done and we went to pay – our contract said the rest of the fence was to be done with credit.  Well then I get the story the credit card machine is broke and he is between banks so he can only take a check/cash.  I was furious. This was not in our contract and I was very close to refusing to pay but I honestly did not want to deal with him anymore so I paid.  Overall my fence is beautiful and we love how it looks. But it was months of frustration.

Just like the previous review. I met Ryan at a home show in February. He was the first to give me an estimate and was the lowest by $300. When I hired him he arrived in 24 hours to sign a contract and collect a deposit. He was responsive and professional. I signed the contract on March 1st and was told 6-8 weeks. I called on week 9 to get an update. I understand the scheduling of these things sometimes runs behind. If a contractor told me that at this point, apologized, gave me an updated installation date or offered me a refund of my deposit, I would have been sympathetic, appreciative of the honest update, and reasonable. Unfortunately, this is not how Ryan conducts business. I called on May 9th to get an update. No response. I called again on May 23 and he picked up. He told me he was running a little behind schedule due to weather. We set up an appointment on Memorial Day Friday to mark the lines. He said that I would need to be there. I took the day off of work. I called around 2 that Friday and got his voicemail. He couldn't be bothered to call me back to apologize for the missed appointment. I had to call him again and his response was "Oops. I had a chance to go to the Cape for the weekend and I took it." I made at least a dozen phone calls. Over two months in an attempt to get on his schedule. They were unanswered unless I borrowed someone else's phone to make the call. Fence was finally installed on June 21. As of June 28th (17 weeks after signing the contract) the job isn't complete because he still owes me a part that I need to close the gate on the fence. Without it, the fence is useless. Sure I saved $300 dollars, but dealing with him was not worth the frustration. He is nonresponsive, dishonest, is disrespectful of your time, and was the least professional contractor I have ever dealt with and I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. The pros, I am going to learn a little about the better business bureau because I plan on filing a complaint if the job isn't done today.

at that time stated the work would take place in late April 2016 or 1st week of May 2016,
company did not actually do the work until June 2016.
this would have been alright with us - however, they do not return phone calls or show up when they say they are going to.

However, once the job was done - there were numerous phone calls from the company wanting final payment - although messages not left on answering machine.
and the owner of the company DID NOT himself come to collect the payment - he sent a young man that works for him (not someone that even had any identification that he worked for the company)

common courtesy goes along way, return a phone call and be honest as to when you will be able to do the job you said you would do.
in our opinion, this company is not run professionally.

He was very good with staying in touch when he could come out. He actually came out a little bit earlier. He said he was going to come out the following week and he came out the Friday before hand. The guys worked non-stop. They were all friendly and did not complaint. I did not need to do anything for them. The job actually took longer because of my driveway. There was like a concrete underneath my driveway that they needed to drill through that added hours on to the job. They did not cause any hiccup for any reason that I saw. They were professional and did a good job, but they were young.

Ryan by far has the best prices, we had a lot of quotes before and Ryan came in the least expensive. His crew came in and did the job in 2 days. They were clean, fast and very officiant. They took the old fence out cleaned everything and instilled the new fence the same day. The gate was instilled the following day. Great work, highly recommend.

We needed some additional wood fencing to extend a side yard and needed a pool fence installed. I knew nothing about their company from trusted friends or relatives, but I got their information at a home show and read the only Angie's list review at the time, which was good.  I had 3 quotes and their quote came in substantially better than the others. It was 15-40% less than the other two companies (AFSCO and Siena fence) for the same basic product so I went for it.
The gates all work well and the fence looks really nice around the pool and on the side yard.  We're really happy with the product.  The installation was about 10 days later than the estimated window due to parts that were not ready, but I also recognize this was a very busy time of year for this business and I appreciated that Ryan, the owner, fit us in.
One warning is they screwed small advertisement signs into our fence (4 total - 2 on the wood fence, 2 on the aluminum fence around the pool).   I don't mind helping them advertise a little, but I was not aware it would happen beforehand. Particularly on the aluminum fence I would have much preferred they used ties or something that did not screw directly into the frame of the fence in case I want to remove them at some point. I saw a similar fence in the neighborhood by a different company that had a sign but it was tied on rather than screwed in.  If you care about that just ask in advance.
Also, our pool fence is white, which looks great. Everyone we know who has a pool fence has black, and they've all commented that they really like the white). However, the gate hinges and lock are black - probably because that's how the manufacturer makes them.  It doesn't look bad but had I predicted that in advance I would have asked for the hinges and probably even the locks to be painted white as well, if possible.

The existing fence was removed in sections ensuring I would continue to have a barrier to contain my dogs in the backyard.  The two installers, Jim and Joey were courteous and professional and Jim actually listened to how I wanted the installation to take place and took particular care to ensure the gating was straight with minimal gaps under the fence per my request.  I was pleased with the installation and they left their work area immaculate after they left each day.  The owner, Ryan,  would come to the house several times a day to supervise or review the work that was being completed.   I was very pleased with the final product and would highly recommend them.

We had Ryan Fitzgerald (owner) give us an estimate to do a fence/gate across our driveway at our business.  He did a very poor job.  There were cracked pieces of wood, incomplete components, and sloppy detailing.  He never asked us to take a look before he left so we had to call him once we saw the finished product.  He returned after several attempts to reach him and we went over everything that was wrong.  He said he would fix those things.  We are not fencing professionals, but even we knew that the job was pretty lousy.  He returned another time to do the job and had to leave because he didn't have the right tools with him.  He sent someone to fix the things that were wrong and they did a few corrections, again leaving before we could say we were satisfied or not.  Not everything was completed.  When we called him to complain  he was not terribly responsive.  He said he wasn't able to speak and would call us back.  My husband eventually made the final repairs himself.
