The exam went well, in terms of the service provided.  However, Dr. cooper informed me that my pet cat had a heart murmur.  She explained what that is and what it means to the quality of life.  She is very kind to her patients, and respectful of the owners.  Though providing a diagnosis that means a loved pet has a serious health issue must be unpleasant for any vet, Dr. cooper is clearly sympathetic and informative.

Exam went well. Diagnosis was an allergic reaction and the et suggested a steroid shot which I refused. Second suggestion was a topical cream that contains cortisone. Decided to use the cream. Doctor demonstrated the amount to use and how to apply to the sores.

Visit went well. Was able to make an appointment for the same day that I called. Waited less than 5 minutes once I arrived for the appointment. Dr. Cooper did a full exam and explained what she observed. She was very gentle with a very nervous cat. She coated the medication with human baby food (chicken) to make it easier to administer. She entered all her findings and actions on a laptop computer in the exam room. All the pets' records are kept on computer and owners have access to a web portal to keep track of vaccinations and medications.

She is an excellent vet. I trust her with my own cats, but she also is a preferred vet for Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, treating numerous cats and kittens that are rescued from around the Albany area. She is very knowledgeable and will work to find a solution to even the most unusual illness or problem with a cat (or dog) in her care. She takes time with each of her clients and truly cares about the pets and their owners.

I have been going to Country Knolls for three years now and the staff is friendly and caring. I feel they give excellent care. I will continue taking my dog there and I would recommend anyone to them.
