I contacted http://bvillesnowblowing.com/ in hopes of having my driveway snowblown in the winter versus snowplowing. I was hoping to avoid the negative aspects of snow plowing (i.e. tire ruts in my lawn, spring lawn repair, damage to my driveway, better access to my mailbox). I soon realized that the company was not snowblowing, but instead snowplowing my driveway. I called the company to figure out what was going on and they informed me that maintaining the commercial snowblower was too expensive so they resorted to snowplowing. I was a little perturbed because that's not what I had paid for. They essentially pulled a bait and switch. Had I known that in advance I would've shopped around for another company to snowblow and/or a better price for snowplowing. Part way through the season (during one of the many melts) I was able to see the damage to my lawn (both tire ruts and plow damage). They neglected to stake my driveway. I called and left a message about the stakes, but no one got back to me. I assumed they would just install them eventually. I was wrong. The spring came and my lawn was pretty beat up. I called once again to complain about the damage and find out what was going to be done about it, but they never got back to me.
