They did not clean out all gutters as they indicated they did.  Very difficult to get them to come back to complete the clean out.  Leaf guards installed over some of the areas as agreed, however not in all areas.  I thought I paid one price for all work to be completed.  I had to have them come back and price out additional areas for leaf guards.  They quoted a very high additional price, which we complained about.  They then reduced the price by nearly half ($450).  We paid them in advance (mistake) as Dan said he need the money to purchase the leaf guard material.  He took our check, cashed it, and never completed the work.  For the past 2 months we have attempted to contact him at his home and cell phone numbers (he doesn't answer anymore) and have left numerous messages.  At this point, he's stolen $450 from us.  While we like to deal with local providers, we will never trust Dan at B'ville Seamless Gutters again.

I got this referral from Angie's list.  I contracted with Dan Thomas on March 25th and gave him a $1,000 deposit to put gutters and leaf guard on my new home.  He said he would order materials and be out on Friday morning.  Friday I waited all day, no sign of Dan.  Saturday came and no Dan.  Sunday came and I was catching up on the news and saw him walking up my sidewalk in the afternoon.  He explained he was really sorry he didn't come Friday.  He went to Watertown or somewhere up north with his brother and promised to be here Monday morning first thing.  Ok, I'm a fairly easy going person, but couldn't you have at least called me so I wasn't sitting here all day?  So Monday morning comes, no Dan.  Monday afternoon, no Dan.  So I call him Monday night.  Another round of excuses.  Couldn't you call me so I didn't sit around waiting for you all day?  He promised to be there Tuesday morning at 9:00.  Now I've canceled a doctor appointment in this whole process because he promised to be here to do the work.  Tuesday morning comes.  It's 9:05.....NO DAN!  So I call him.  "I'm turning down your street now."  GOOD ANSWER!  I own my own business also and one of the things you have to remember about customer service is that when the sun comes up in the East and after it sets in the West, all that time in between is dedicated to your customers and the service you provide.  I was told it would take 3 1/2 hours to do the work.  It took til dinner time.  While the quality of the product is beautiful, the service was extremely poor, communication was non-existent and when both my fiance and I were unhappy with the direction of the downspouts on the south side of the house, he refused to change them without additional cost to us.  WHOA!   We tell you before you position the spouts where we want the water draining and now we have a lake in front of our basement windows??  What's wrong with that picture?  I called Dan the day after to ask him to come back and reposition the downspouts and I have not heard from him since.  I have given any intelligent person food for thought before they hire this company.

They returned my call for an estimate very quickly. He gave me the estimate. The price was right. The quality was a good work. I would use them again in the future.

Today is the 'next day', and it seems incredible to my wife and me that this all started yesterday and is finished today, after waiting for 2-3 weeks for Leo A. Kline just to respond to a phone call. The job is done. Dan Thomas, of Baldwinsville Seamless Gutters and his brother did the whole installation in about an hour and a half. At the end there was no excess material, and he gave a lifetime guarantee on the gutter guards. Dan encouraged us to call even if we had the slightest problem. Just a few notes on how Dan conducts business: he's a working man, so don't expect him to arrive in a coat and tie to give an estimate. And since it's a small business, Dan required half down before he started the job. I can understand if that makes you feel uneasy, because that's how we felt, but he was here promptly on time today and did a great job. I would definitely recommend his service to others in need of leaf guards.
