AMG ELECTRICAL INC

I found AMG purely through Angie's List in 2012 and I got an estimate for work late in the summer of 2012 for a house that i was in contract to buy. The sale closing took a very long time and occurred Aug 2013, but immediately upon receiving a closing date in early Aug 2013 I called Greg because I was happy with his reviews, and he gave a fair price for an electrical upgrade and he seemed like a good person last time we met.I was hoping to get him in to start work the day after closing. After trying to reach him for about 3 weeks now (it is currently the end of Aug 2013) I don't really know what to make of the lack of response. I have emailed through his website form, left several messages and called a number of times over the last few weeks. I would still like to hire him but AMG's non-response is puzzling. Is the company closed? Is he on vacation? Are they just too busy to take on new jobs? Unfortunately, a lot of time has been lost that I could have used to vet other electricians and get started sooner.

Update: after posting this review I got a call back the next day. The upgrade was scheduled a short time afterwards and completed. Work looks good. Just wish there was a better process for call backs and customer inquiries.

Everything went very well.

Again it was a pleasure having him come over and do the work. He was truly very curtious and professional.

From start to finish it was an A+ job, punctual, clean, efficient took time to talk and explain things to me, I cant say enough good things aboout the work and professionalism, hire again and recommend to everyone.

I called Greg 11/0811 and left a message for him that i needed 3 ceiling fans installed and that i would really appreciate it if the job could be done before Thanksgiving and that i would not be home during the week of 11/14/11. He called back and came to my home to give me an estimate. While I was away he e-mailed me the estimate which was in-line with other estimates that i got. The other electricians all said it would be a difficult job and a terrible mess, since 2 of the fans were going in the basement and electrical access was difficult, the 3rd fan went upstairs and was no problem. Greg had a solution which was using an RF switch and remote. However this works there was absolutely no mess or damage to the wallpaper in the basement bedrooms and the job was done the monday before thanksgigving and everything is working well. I would use him again in a minute.

They are wonderful. They spent a couple of hours doing the work and got it done. They were just excellent, very clean, and just excellent work.

He showed up on time and did a great job for the price quoted.

It was a deal with Angie's List for house inspection. He came out and checked and made few suggestions. I emailed him about my concerns and he never got back to me.

They were very nice, thorough, and professional. I didn't feel that they were coming up with insignificant things. They seemed very knowledgeable. Their price was little high. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

Good Job

I bought an older home that was in desperate need of an electrical upgrade. I got several bids but Greg's was, by far, the lowest. Before I signed a contract we went through his proposal, point-by-point, to make sure that he had bid on the exact services that I had requested. Everything was as requested. Greg started the job on schedule. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. Several times during the job I asked him to make changes to the original plan. Each time he listened to my request, gave me advice on the feasibility/practicality of the changes, and then put the new plan into action. He never complained (even though the project was at times more difficult and time-consuming than he might have originally planned). Many of the interior walls are plaster (which can be difficult to work with). The new outlets were cut out so neatly that you'd never know that they weren't part of the original electrical work. Most of the work was done in late September and early October. Greg delayed the finishing touches until March to accommodate my renovation schedule. I could not have asked for a better job performance or a better person to work with.

I called and spoke with him in tyhe afternoon, made apt for that evening when I gotb home from work. He arrived exatly on time, checked out the problems, gave me an estimate and was able to complete all the work that evening. He was completely professional as well as polite all the way thrtought the work. When he left there was no mess and everything was running great. I most certainely would and have recommended this company to others. His price was much less than I feared and everything was explained in terms a layman could understand. Great experience

AMG Electrical arrived on time and completed the work in a professional manner and for a very reasonable cost. I would not hesitate to use them again.
