I purchased a house with a new roof. The seller gave me a shingle sampler with a card from Mike Martin. During the winter the skylights leaked badly and I called Mike Martin, who came by with a caulk gun. I was completely unimpressed by him at the time. As work has progressed on the house, many other carpenters have pointed out that the shingles were applied over old shingles and that the flashing was not reworked. The flashing is now basically conducting water under the new shingles and into the roof. This was a shockingly shoddy job that does not meet code.
