We had a great experience with John and Steve. As new, first-time homeowners encountering a project that turned out to be bigger than we'd anticipated, we really appreciated the time and care they took to make sure we understood our full range of options, tradeoffs we should consider, and why they were recommending what they were recommending. The quality of work was excellent, they were always highly responsive and easy to get in touch with, and pleasant to work with. When they found unexpected problems, like the fact that the front of our house was about to collapse, they helped us work through options for dealing with this added work in a way that balanced cost concerns with a shared desire to see the problem solved permanently rather than just patched. Since this work, they've spent time with us assessing some other projects we've been considering around the house and helping us build out a long-term plan for how to get the house into the shape we want it to be in. We look forward to working with them again over the years.

It was horrible.  They came when they felt like it.  They started my job to get the initial deposit which he wanted in cash and then left for weeks.  They were obviously doing someone else's house while doing mine.  They came back, made several mistakes, took forever to correct and then insisted on payment immediately when the paint brushes were still being cleaned.

We have been using him the past 10 years and he is excellent. He specializes in restoration inside and out, and does an excellent job.
